Among all the Disney stars who made it big after their teen series, Selena Gomez is undoubtedly one of the most successful. From breaking records as a singer to owning a cosmetic brand, its stardom has proven to be unstoppable.
Currently, Selena is focusing on her acting career. Her performance in her latest movie, “Emilia Perez,” has received such high praise that some predict she could make the shortlist for the Best Actress Oscar.
Her Selenators support all her projects but would be especially thrilled to see her on stage again, as she hasn’t toured since 2016. In a recent interview with The Times, the singer addressed the topic. Here, all the details.
Will Selena Gomez tour again? Her recent answer
Even if it sounds indecisive, Selena Gomez has stated that her feelings about touring again are exactly 50/50. On one hand, she explained that doing shows worldwide “is very emotionally draining. And then you realize you’re just surrounded by a bunch of people that you’re paying.”

However, the star also mentioned that these negative feelings disappear whenever she connects with her fanbase: “Nothing makes me happier than 90 minutes of being with my fans and just celebrating together.”
But we should not celebrate yet. Looking at her schedule, it seems unlikely that she will tour again in the near future. If it were to happen, it wouldn’t be until after March 2025, when the Oscars take place, as Selena has to promote “Emilia Perez” through all its film awards run.
Additionally, Selena has a busy lineup of upcoming projects, from “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” to movies like Petra Collins’ “Spiral,” which is in the very first stages of pre-production.
Furthermore, it’s important to remember that Selena suffers from bipolar disorder and lupus, making it quite unlikely that her health will allow her to perform extensively. We will keep you updated on this topic if further statements are made.
