Netflix has been betting for the past few years on action thrillers, especially those coming from foreign markets. This week, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” was released, which has quickly climbed to the Top 4 in just a few days.
The film, whose title translates to “Big Master Little Master”, is an Indian production directed by Ali Abbas Zafar in 2024. Despite there being a similar drama, they are not related.
The story not only blends intense fight scenes with complex characters but also incorporates various elements of science fiction. It is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, with a budget of $42 million.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan ranked Top 6 on Netflix
“Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” joined Netflix’s catalog on June 12, so it only took one day to become the sixth most-watched movie on the platform worldwide, surpassing Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning.
Flix Patrol reported this morning that the title has been changing positions within the global Top 10, but it has been established as the sixth for several hours, confirming that it is one of the biggest trends of the week.
Although the drama was a disaster at the box office after its release in theaters on April 11 and failed to match its hefty budget in terms of revenue, it has found a different fate on the streaming giant.
The story follows Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan, who with their opposite personalities and unconventional methods, have to overcome their differences and work together to transport criminals to fairness and preserve the day.
Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Jugal Hansraj, Pitobash, Ronit Roy, Manish Chaudhary and Pawan Chopra are some of the actors who were present in the thriller.
