Documentaries have once again become a trend on Netflix, and this week one has premiered that tells one of the most interesting stories worldwide: what has happened with the Terracotta Warriors.

The film directed by James Tovell and titled “Mysteries of the Terracotta Warriors” has not only managed to enter the Top 10 worldwide but occupies the number 5 spot, dethroning Hit Man with Glen Powell.

The production is set in Xi’an, the capital of China’s Shaanxi province, where the terracotta warriors were discovered in 1974, as reported by the streaming giant’s specialized site, Tudum.

Mysteries of the Terracotta ranked Netflix’s Top 5

“Mysteries of the Terracotta” is the new documentary film that has been added to Netflix’s catalog this week, becoming the fifth most-watched title on the platform worldwide, according to Flix Patrol.

What happened with the Chinese warriors has been a mystery for years, and movies with fantastical stories have been created multiple times. However, it is time to reveal the truth…

According to the new original project from the streaming giant, there are a total of 8,000 sculptures, each measuring around two meters. These are over 2,200 years old and have been a great discovery.

The movie itself portrays how fifty years after the discovery of the Terracotta Warriors, it unearths new secrets of the mausoleum of China’s first emperor and his 8,000 ceramic guardian soldiers.
