Netflix usually updates its Top 10 list of most-viewed movies daily, and this morning it confirmed that one of the greatest action classics has become one of them, earning the fourth spot worldwide.
It’s “Safe House“, the crime thriller that was starred by two big industry names back in 2012: Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) and Denzel Washington (Man on Fire), who portray Matt Weston and Tobin Frost.
The drama, directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by David Guggenheim, features a plot full of twists and turns that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, so it’s a great choice for suspense lovers.
Safe House ranked No. 4 movie on Netflix worldwide
“Safe House” is the action classic that has become a trend this week among Netflix users. The movie has not only become the fourth most-watched but has also captivated audiences worldwide.
Flix Patrol reported this morning that the production secured the Top 4 spot, also dethroning another genre classic: “Four Brothers”, which also features a cast full of big industry stars.
Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds star in the action and suspense drama, but they weren’t the only mega-talented stars present; they were accompanied by Robert Patrick, Vera Farmiga, Brendan Gleeson and others.
The story revolves around Matt Weston, a young CIA agent in charge of a safe house in Cape Town, whose job is to maintain a secure location for interrogating high-level intelligence agents.
Although everything is going well, the situation changes when a rogue agent is brought to the location after surrendering to the authorities. Soon, the safe house is attacked, and they find themselves on a dangerous run together.
As they try to survive, Weston begins to question the loyalty and intentions of those he trusted. As expected, chaos quickly ensues, not only between them but also around them.
