Hulu has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated fifth season of Only Murders in the Building today, and it looks like Charles, Oliver, and Mabel are diving into their most personal and star-studded mystery yet. The Emmy Award-nominated series is set to return on Tuesday, September 9, with a three-episode premiere.

New Murder

After the Hollywood-centric mystery of Season 4, our favorite podcasters are back in their home turf, the Arconia, to investigate the suspicious death of their beloved doorman, Lester. The trailer hints at a crime that goes far deeper than a simple accident, pulling the trio into a dangerous new web of secrets.

The new season will explore a tense divide between “the old New York” and “the new New York,” connecting the doorman’s death to a world of “powerful billionaires and old-school mobsters.”

Cast

The trailer gives us our first look at the incredible lineup of new and returning cast members. While Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short are back as Charles, Mabel, and Oliver, they’ll be joined by a host of new faces, including Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, and Christoph Waltz as a trio of billionaires. In addition to the new cast, several fan favorites are returning, including Meryl Streep as Loretta.
