The story follows the life of legendary Hollywood star Evelyn Hugo, who at 79 years old decides to reveal the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life to an unknown young journalist, Monique Grant.
As with many of the author’s narratives, the plot will explore multiple dramatic moments where life tests the protagonist, involving her seven marriages and deep secrets.
The anticipation for the movie is quite high, especially among fans of the book. There were multiple rumors about who would be chosen for the lead role, with Jessica Chastain being one of the names mentioned.
However, the actress debunked the theories of her involvement with the project, stating that although she found the story really interesting, no one had contacted her to offer her the role.

One of the many books by Taylor Jenkins Reid being adapted for the screen is “Malibu Rising“, thanks to Hulu, which acquired the rights. The adaptation focuses on the complex family dynamics and personal challenges of the characters.
The story, which explores the secrets and family tensions that come to light during the party, takes place over 24 hours in 1983 and follows the Riva siblings, children of a famous singer, who host an annual event at their mansion in Malibu.
The author will serve as one of the executive producers for the highly anticipated television series, which is still in development. Its cast has not been announced, nor has its official release date.

The rights to “Carrie Soto Is Back” have been acquired by one of the industry’s leading production companies, Picturestart. Deadline reported that the author will be a producer, along with Circle of Confusion.
Although it is still too early for a scheduled release date, as the movie is in development, it could be estimated that the adaptation might hit the big screen during 2026.
The story follows Carrie Soto, a retired tennis champion who decides to return to the sport to reclaim her title when her record is threatened by a younger player.
As in the book, the narrative explores themes of ambition, redemption and the struggle for greatness. The cast is still a mystery, but undoubtedly, it will be an exciting title, with a style similar to Challengers.
