The Suicide Squad has made the leap from live-action to anime with “Suicide Squad Isekai,” the new Max series that brings the beloved DC characters into Japanese animation.

This production isn’t an adaptation of previous specific material but rather a fresh story crafted by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, known for their work on “Re: Zero” and “Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us,” respectively.

Fans accustomed to seeing the supervillains portrayed by Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, and Will Smith are now surprised by the Japanese voice actors who have taken on roles of Joker, Harley Quinn, and the rest. Discover all you need to know about them!

In what anime series has the cast of Suicide Squad Isekai appeared?

Max didn’t hold back when selecting the voice actors for Suicide Squad Isekai, tapping into some of the most renowned names in the Japanese entertainment industry. Yûichirô Umehara, who voices the Joker, has already lent his talents to over 130 productions at just 33 years old.

Among his numerous performances, standout roles include Ken in “Captain Tsubasa,” Weather Report in “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure,” and Jugram in “Bleach”.

Voicing Harley Quinn is Anna Nagase, who at 19 years old has already scored significant roles in 13 productions. Her credits include Ushio Kofune in “Summer Time Rendering”, Riko Amanai in “Jujutsu Kaisen,” and Mahoro in “Bucchigiri?!”.

But they aren’t the only notable voices in the cast. Takehito Koyasu, who voices Peacemaker, is a monster in Asian voice acting with nearly 700 anime credits. He’s known for iconic roles such as Dio Brando in “Jojo’s” and Zeke in “Attack on Titan”.
