‘The Visit,’ starring Olivida DeJonge, is the most watched <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/max">Max</a> in the United States this week (as for Jan. 11th), according to FlixPatrol. The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/horror">horror</a> film, write, co-produced and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, has surpassed the crime thriller ‘Seven,’ which is now second.



Apart from DeJonge, the movie stars Ed Oxenbould, Deanna Dunagan, Peter McRobbie, and Kathryn Hahn. The story centers around Becca (DeJonge) and her younger brother Tyler (Oxenbould) who go to stay with their estranged grandparents, but they notice something’s off about them.

War dramas have always been praised for their complex stories, brave characters and emotional narratives. Fury is no exception, and this week it has once again become a trend on the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> catalog, being one of the most-watched <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">films</a>.



According to Flix Patrol, the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a> has joined the Top 10 of the streaming platform this week, ranking ninth among users in the United States and surpassing titles like X with Mia Goth and <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/jenna-ortega">Jenna Ortega</a>.



Directed by David Ayer, the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> is set during World War II and follows a crew of a Sherman tank named Fury, led by Sergeant Wardaddy, portrayed by <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/brad-pitt">Brad Pitt</a> (Fight Club and Meet Joe Black).

According to the specialized metrics site Flix Patrol, the 2014 acclaimed war drama Fury has managed to re-enter the Top 10 in the United States, becoming the ninth most-watched film in the American Netflix catalog.

Not only did it surpass titles like X by Ti West with Mia Goth, but it has been gaining new viewers in the last two weeks, becoming a favorite in January/February, competing with Pacific Rim and The Greatest Night in Pop.



The story is set in April 1945, during the last days of World War II in Europe. Sergeant Don “Wardaddy” Collier, commands a Sherman tank named Fury and leads a crew consisting of his loyal team: Boyd “Bible” Swan, Trini “Gordo” Garcia, and Grady “Coon-Ass” Travis. The team is on a dangerous mission behind German enemy lines.



Norman Ellison, a young recruit, joins the crew as the new gunner. As they face the brutality of war and German resistance, Norman struggles to adapt to the violent and ruthless world of Fury. The film explores themes of camaraderie, sacrifice, and the brutal reality of combat.

The production strives to authentically portray the life of soldiers in a tank during World War II, depicting claustrophobia, fear, and camaraderie amid conflict. It offers a raw and realistic look that has captivated viewers on the streaming giant in recent days.



<h2>Who makes up the cast of Fury?</h2>



The war thriller and drama received positive reviews for its intensity, realistic portrayal of war, and, of course, its performances. Brad Pitt, who leads the cast as Don Collier, was nominated for a Critics Choice Award in the category of Best Actor in an Action Movie.



The 60-year-old star was joined by several top-notch actors and icons of the entertainment industry. Shia LaBeouf portrayed Boyd Swan, while Logan Lerman played Norman Ellison, Michael Peña portrayed Trini Garcia and Jon Bernthal played Grady Travis.



Each of them played a key character in the plot, all being soldiers of the Fury team. Jim Parrack, Xavier Samuel, Brad William Henke, Jason Isaacs, Kevin Vance, Alicia von Rittberg and Scott Eastwood also appeared in supporting roles.



<h2>David Ayer talked about what it was like to work with Brad Pitt and more</h2>



Working with major stars is not always an easy task for directors, quite the opposite. However, this was not the case for David Ayer, as he stated in an interview with Oregon Live that he truly enjoyed working with Brad Pitt on such an emotional and somber project like Fury.



During the conversation with the site, he was asked about the role the actor had to embody and if he feared that Pitt might stray from the darker aspects of his character. He responded:



“He sought immersion and truth. I think Brad was drawn to the leadership role, playing this wise and grizzled guy, this survivor. And he’s not just a survivor: he has to keep these other people alive and, at the same time, ask them to do things that put their lives at risk. I think he was drawn to the paradox of that“.

Additionally, the filmmaker was also asked about the film’s objective, which was to make it as historically accurate as possible regarding World War II tank combat, and whether he needed assistance from any experts. He commented:



“The way we worked was that we got Signal Corps photos, real photos from the era, and did our best to duplicate what we saw. There are mistakes in the movie, I promise. But we did our best because I’m also a history buff, and I understand how silly mistakes can take you out of the movie. We printed our own German camouflage scanned from actual German uniforms. In the film, we have the only operational Tiger tank in the world, which is a novelty“.

In an interview with Variety prior to 2024 Sundance, Stewart said that she is looking for financial support to finally make her first feature film, an adaptation of “The Chronology of Water,” the 2011 memoir by author Lidia Yuknavitch.

The movie doesn’t have a distributor yet.



<h2>Sacramento (TBD)</h2>



Stewart will also appear in Michael Angarano’s second feature film “Sacramento,” a road trip comedy in which he stars alongside Michael Cera. Angarano also wrote the script with Chris Smith. Maya Erskine is also set to star. The movie was filmed in 2023, but it doesn’t have an official release date yet.

Stewart will direct this adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir. While she is still looking for financial backing, she has a lead: Imogen Poots, will star as the author. The film is also being produced by Ridley Scott through his production company Scott Free.

Stewart will act alongside Oscar Isaac in the upcoming vampire thriller “Flesh of the Gods.” The film is set in the 1980s Los Angeles, and they will play a married couple which will find themselves attracted to enigmatic figure known as Nameless, which will drawn them into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence.



<h2>The Challenger (TBA)</h2>



Kristen has joined “The Challenger” to star and finally make her big debut as a lead in a TV series. The actress will bring Sally Ride, the first female astronaut to fly in space, to life.



Maggie Cohn has been chosen to write and be the showrunner of the limited series, which could fall into the hands of Amazon, although nothing is confirmed yet, but it will be revealed in the coming weeks.



The story follows Sally, who became the first to fly as part of NASA’s 1978 space shuttle astronaut class, which was the first to be diversified not comprised of all white men, according to Deadline.

The show, created and written by Jack and Harry Williams, is also the ninth most-watched globally, per the same source.



The series, which was originally released in 2022, follows Dornan as a man who, after being a victim of a car crash, wakes up in an Australian hospital with amnesia. However, as he leaves the hospital, it’s clear that he is being chased, so he must learn his identity before it’s too late.

In an interview with BBC, Dorman said “I don’t think we expected it to be the most watched show in the U.K. that year and when there’s that much of an appetite, it felt like the right thing to give people more.”



Without revealing any surprises, in the second season, Elliot (played by Dorman) and Helen (played by Danielle Macdonald) travel to Ireland to uncover the mysteries surrounding Elliot’s identity. Similar to the first season, Season 2 of “The Tourist” consists of six episodes.

Wang takes us back and forth in time to reveal how these three women are linked and how everything went wrong. The three following episodes will be released weekly every Friday, with the finale coming out Feb. 23.



In an interview with NPR, Wang explained that one of the reasons she made the show was because she, as an immigrant in the US, connects with the themes of the story. “I saw that parallel in the journey of Hong Kong and what my family had experienced. It’s the reason that I’m here today. So are you grateful for it? Do you resent it? I mean, there’s no easy answer, but it certainly has influenced so much,” she said.

Despite being considered replaceable, he adamantly rejects the idea of letting his clone take over.

Fans got their initial glimpse of the movie in December 2022 when Warner Bros. released a mysterious teaser featuring Pattinson waking up in a chamber. The cast is rounded out by Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie, and Steven Yeun. In addition to directing, Bong Joon-ho also penned the script and serves as a producer. It was supposed to come out this year, but Warner Bros. delayed indefinitely.



<h3>The Batman II | Oct. 2, 2026</h3>



Pattinson is confirmed to return as Bruce Wayne in the sequel to The Batman, directed by Reeves. The movie is slated to be released on October 2, 2026 in the United States. Zoë Kravitz, portraying Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, and Jeffrey Wright as Gordon, are all anticipated to return to their respective roles.

Pattinson will star alongside Jennifer Lawrence in this upcoming thriller. The film, according to Deadline, is set in a remote forgotten rural area, the story follows a mother who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis.

Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay is directing. She is best known for titles such as “Ratcatcher,” “Morvern Callar,” “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” and “You Were Never Really Here.” She also co-wrote the script with Enda Walsh.

In this upcoming drama, the actor will team up with Zendaya. The film, produced by A24, will be directed by “Dream Scenario” director Kristoffer Borgli, who also wrote the script.
