The official plot has not yet been revealed, but the director has spoken about what the story will be about, stating that it will focus on a character who really does not want to be where they are, so they will have a long battle ahead.



“I’m already toying with the idea of Gladiator 3. Production began in June 2023, but was temporarily halted the following month due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, interrupting the work being carried out in Malta. It only resumed at the end of November.



Despite having multiple locations, the initial filming took place in Sussex, United Kingdom, specifically at Devil’s Dyke, Brighton. This isn’t the first time the director has set up there, as it was also done for the original.

The musical is now landing in theaters five days ahead of schedule. According to experts, the change of date likely took place to avoid competing with another musical <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> which could appeal to the same audience, Disney’s ‘Moana 2.’

The likelihood of this casting seems high for several reasons. Firstly, Sam Mendes isn’t under pressure to rush into production for any of his four planned Beatles films. Meanwhile, Paul Mescal, as previously mentioned, has a packed schedule. Thus, if Mendes doesn’t insist on an immediate start to filming, Mescal is likely to accept the role.



Nevertheless, all of Mescal’s upcoming projects are either in post-production or being wrapped up. The only exception is “Hamnet” by Chloé Zhao, which reportedly began photography last month, but still will occupy Mescal’s time for four of five months at the most.

No, there’s no official release date for the project yet. Per Vareity, the movie doesn’t have a distributor yet. So, it will potentially premiere on festivals first, and then have a wide release.
