<p>The majority of the production took place between August and November of 2022 in country. Per Screen Rant, all the scenes at the Road House, Charlie and Stephen’s bookstore, by the water, and the Road House’s post-credits scene were shot in the Dominican Republic.</p>

<p>The actors have not commented yet, but <strong>Sung Jin</strong> signed an exclusivity deal with Netflix for all his stories to be featured on the streaming platform. Yeun mentioned that he hasn’t been informed of anything yet but supports the filmmaker.</p>



<p>The South Korean director opened up to Variety about the project and said, <em>“I feel like there are many paths. It could stay limited; it was a very closed story. But if Netflix wants to continue, it could also be an anthology. It could be many things. It depends on the big algorithm. We’re waiting to hear from it”</em>.</p>

<h3>Prophet – TBA</h3>



<p>On December 25, 2023, Screen Rant announced that one of Gyllenhaal’s upcoming major projects will reunite him with <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/marvel">Marvel</a></strong> once again. He won’t be reprising a supporting role; instead, he will bring John Prophet to life in the adaptation of the comic “<strong>Prophet</strong>“.</p>



<p><strong>Sam Hargrave</strong> will be directing the film, and the release date is still a mystery. Despite initially joining the MCU as Mysterio, this is the actor’s new opportunity to secure a larger role within the company.</p>



<p>Prophet is a character created by <strong>Rob Liefeld</strong> in the 1990s, during the early days of the Image Comics publisher. He was a genetically created supersoldier in World War II. According to Stars My Destination, he woke up in the world of 1992 completely disoriented and unsure how to relate to this new world.</p>



<h3>Road House 2 – TBA</h3>



<p>After the massive success of the <strong>Road House</strong> remake carried out by Amazon, the platform confirmed that the movie will have a <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video/road-house-sequel-with-jake-gyllenhaal-release-date-and-all-that-is-known">sequel</a> and will arrive on <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video">Prime Video</a></strong>‘s catalog at some point in the next few years.</p>



<p>Jake Gyllenhaal will return to the screen to once again portray Elwood Dalton, who in the previous installment was the cause of several problems and has had to fight with more than one on multiple occasions.</p>



<p><strong>Jennifer Salke</strong>, director of Amazon MGM Studio, revealed that the project is in development and said, <em>“As we saw this spring, the world went crazy for a little movie called ‘Road House’. Nearly 8 million viewers globally have watched ‘Road House’. We like to watch these results like a baby”</em>.</p>



<h3>Lake Success – TBA</h3>



<p><strong>Lake Success</strong> is the actor’s upcoming miniseries, which currently does not have a scheduled release date or even a director for the episodes. However, the plot has already been revealed, and it will be Jake who brings one of the main characters, Barry Cohen, to life.</p>



<p>The story narrates the tragic and comedic adventure of Seema as she raises her autistic son while her husband Barry searches for a lost love from college. The struggles divide the family in this emotional and verbose drama.</p>



<h3>Snow Blind – TBA</h3>



<p><strong>Gustav Möller</strong> is set to direct <strong>Snow Blind</strong>, a suspense film that will feature Gyllenhaal in a role yet to be revealed. <strong>Rolando Davila-Beltran</strong> will accompany him in the role of Secretary.</p>

<p><strong>Tyler Jenkins </strong>(Grass Kings) and <strong>Ollie Masters</strong> (Sexy Beast and The Kitchen) are the creators of the graphic novel on which the upcoming adaptation is based. They will co-write the script with <strong>Patrick Ness </strong>(A Monster Calls and Chaos Walking).</p>



<p>The film does not yet have a release date, but it has been revealed that its story follows a high school teenager who discovers that his family has been secretly in the Witness Protection Program for years, and now someone is on their trail.</p>



<h3>The Anarchists vs ISIS – TBA</h3>



<p>The action drama<strong> The Anarchists vs ISIS </strong>will be directed by <strong>Daniel Espinosa</strong>, based on a script by <strong>Seth Harp</strong>. The film is still in development, but it has been confirmed that Jake Gyllenhaal is the only officially announced cast member at the moment.</p>



<p>The story follows a group of American activists who join forces with a Kurdish militia to help defeat ISIS in Syria. It is not yet known what role Jake will play in the thriller, but it is estimated that he will portray one of these activists.</p>



<h3>The Division – TBA</h3>



<p><strong>The Division </strong>is Jake Gyllenhaal’s upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller, directed by <strong>Rawson Marshall Thurber</strong> and written by <strong>Rafe Judkins</strong>. The star will be joined by <strong>Jessica Chastain </strong>and <strong>McKinley Stamper</strong>, who are currently the only ones credited in the cast.</p>

<p>The story is set in the near future, where a pandemic virus spreads through paper currency on Black Friday, decimating New York. There, a group of civilians, trained to operate in catastrophic times, is activated in an attempt to save whoever and whatever remains.</p>



<p>The production is a spin-off of the 2016 video game “The Division”, whose direction was the responsibility of Magnus Jansén and Petter Mannerfelt. Not only was the game quite successful, but it even managed to be nominated for a BAFTA Game Award for Best Multiplayer.</p>



<h3>Beef Season 2 – TBA</h3>



<p>Gyllenhaal has joined the cast of <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a></strong>‘s <strong>Beef</strong> for its <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix/netflixs-beef-all-about-season-2-with-jake-gyllenhaal-and-anne-hathaway-20240227-SPEN-8309.html">second season</a>, and this time, the series will portray several parallel stories that could eventually intersect. The actor will be playing one of these stories alongside <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/anne-hathaway">Anne Hathaway</a></strong>, marking this collaboration as their third together.</p>



<p>The release date on the platform is still unknown, but several other A-list stars have been chosen to carry out the plot, such as <strong>Charles Melton</strong> and <strong>Cailee Spaeny</strong>, in addition to the original leads, <strong>Ali Wong</strong> and <strong>Steven Yeun</strong>.</p>

<p><em>“I feel like there are a lot of ways. It could stay limited; it was a very closed story. But if Netflix wants to continue, it could also be an anthology. It could be many things. It depends on the big algorithm. We’re waiting for news from them”</em>.</p>



<h3>The Bride – October 3, 2025</h3>



<p>Gyllenhaal has joined his sister’s sophomore feature film <strong>“The Bride.</strong>” The movie also stars Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard, and Penélope Cruz. The story is set in 1930s Chicago and follows Frankenstein, who seeks help from Dr. Euphronius to create a companion. </p>

This week, a <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a> starring <strong>Jake Gyllenhaal</strong> has managed to secure the seventh spot in the ranking of the most-watched.</p>



<p>According to Flix Patrol, <strong>Ambulance</strong> is the new addition that has surpassed several popular productions in Amazon’s catalog. <strong>Michael Bay</strong>, known for directing action films like <em>Armageddon</em>, took charge of the project.</p>

<p>Ambulance is the new seventh most-watched film on <strong>Prime Video</strong>, and according to the specialized site Flix Patrol, it has managed to surpass other major productions in the catalog, such as <em>John Wick: Chapter 4</em> with Keanu Reeves, <em>The Surprise Visit </em>with Rob Riordan and <em>Role Play</em> with Kaley Cuoco.</p>



<p>The story follows two brothers, who become involved in a bank robbery. After the robbery, they decide to escape in an ambulance, triggering a series of intense and dangerous events. The plot focuses on the race against time and the tension between the characters involved.</p>



<p><strong>Michael Bay</strong> (Transformers and Bad Boys) not only directed the film but also served as a producer alongside a significant group of executives, including <strong>James Vanderbilt</strong>, <strong>Bradley Fischer</strong>, <strong>Will Sherak</strong>, <strong>Ian Bryce</strong> and <strong>Chad Oman</strong>.</p>



<h2>Jake Gyllenhaal talked about the experience of working with Michael Bay</h2>



<p>Two years ago, the main cast was interviewed by Collider, and during the conversation, Jake Gyllenhaal talked about Michael Bay, who is considered a respected filmmaker within the industry. There, he confessed:</p>



<p><em>“In the action genre, I think he’s an auteur and his style in working is about capturing what is alive and real in a moment. And I think outside of Fincher and comparatively Bay, I think every great director that I’ve worked with is going after what is honest. </em></p>



<p><em>They’re great because that’s what they’re trying to do, whether it’s in the frame, which I know Fincher spends a lot of time focused on. Michael does too, in a totally different way. They’re actually radically similar in them following energy that they feel is honest”</em>.</p>
