“It’s a subject that I’ve wanted to do a film about, that I’ve been wrestling with how to do it, over the years,” he stated. “I met Tsutomu Yamaguchi, a survivor of both Hiroshima and Nagasaki, just days before he died. He was in the hospital. He was handing the baton of his personal story to us, so I have to do it. I can’t turn away from it.”



Pellegrino’s 2015 book, which brought global attention to the events of August 1945, delves into the impact of the nuclear explosions on Japan and the world. It features first-hand accounts from survivors and American flyers. Yamaguchi’s story is central to both the text and the upcoming movie.



The title’s release is likely not to occur until at least 2027, given that “Ghosts of Hiroshima” will need to be published first and Cameron is known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking. Charli has joined a star-studded cast for a “Faces of Death“, with notable figures such as Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things), Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria), Josie Totah (Other People) and Jermaine Fowler (Coming 2 America) alongside her.



The story follows a woman, employed as a content moderator for a website, who comes across a series of violent videos depicting scenes of death from a film. The horror <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a> is in post-production, so it is expected to be released in 2025.



Daniel Goldhaber (Cam and How to Blow Up a Pipeline) is directing the movie and co-developing the script with Isa Mazzei (50 States of Fright). Undoubtedly, this <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/horror">horror</a> title will be one of the major upcoming projects for the singer.

<h3>100 Nights of Hero</h3>



Not much is known about “<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/nicholas-galitzines-100-nights-of-hero-all-about-his-debut-as-a-villain">100 Nights of Hero</a>” yet, as it is still in pre-production, but it has been described as a feminist fairy tale. The project not only features the “brat” singer but also includes film icons.



Emma Corrin, <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/nicholas-galitzine">Nicholas Galitzine</a> and Maika Monroe have been confirmed to star in the film, which follows a guest who arrives at a castle and disrupts the dynamic between a negligent husband, his girlfriend, and his devoted maid.



<h3>I Want Your Sex</h3>



“I Want Your Sex” will bring Charli together with one of the most popular directors and actresses of recent years: <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/olivia-wilde">Olivia Wilde</a>, who will star in the film as Erika Tracy. Cooper Hoffman will also join them as Elliot.



The thriller will be directed by Gregg Araki, known for <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a> like Mysterious Skin and White Bird in a Blizzard. The independent filmmaker has also co-written the story with the American writer Karley Sciortino.



So far, the singer’s role in the plot has not been revealed, but it is known that the story will focus on Elliot, who “gets a job working for Erika Tracy as her sexual muse”.



<h3>Overcompensating</h3>



Charli has joined Benito Skinner‘s new project: Overcompensating. The series will arrive on Prime Video, and the artist will not only have a role in the story but will also be in charge of composing the show’s music.



The comic story follows Benny (played by Skinner), a football player, as he struggles to accept his sexuality in college, overcompensating by trying to appear as something he’s not.



The TV show is produced by A24 and Jonah Hill’s Strong Baby Productions, with the singer also serving as an executive producer. The cast is full of great talents, such as Nell Verlaque, Mary Beth Barone and Corteon Moore.
