<p>It’s about <strong>Blue Beetle</strong>, directed by <strong>Angel Manuel Soto</strong> from a screenplay by <strong>Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer</strong>. <strong>Xolo Mariduena</strong> is the one responsible for bringing to life the young Mexican who discovers an alien beetle that grants him an armor with superpowers. </p>



<p>The film was a significant milestone in the international box office, breaking several records and surpassing the 100 million mark. This meant a lot for the <strong>DC</strong> and <strong>Warner</strong> team, as they broke a psychological barrier for numerous film productions of this kind.</p>



<h2>Blue Beetle is the number 1 movie on Max worldwide.</h2>



<p><strong>Blue Beetle</strong> became the most-watched movie on <strong>Max</strong> just a few hours ago after the platform once again updated its worldwide top 10. Accordin to Flix Patrol, not only did it dethrone Greta Gerwig’s <em>Barbie</em>, but it claimed the top spot and caused other productions, like <em>Gran Turismo</em>, to move down the list.</p>

<p>The Scarab is an advanced creation of an alien race called the Reach, and its technology is both a blessing and a curse for Jaime. The beetle provides him with powers like superhuman strength, the ability to fly and advanced weaponry, but it also has its own consciousness and can sometimes attempt to exert control over his body.</p>



<p>The superhero portrayed by Xolo Mariduena becomes the third character to bear the title of Blue Beetle, following Dan Garrett and Ted Kord. His story explores themes of identity, adolescence and the responsibility of possessing extraordinary powers.</p>

<p>The story will center in three characters: <strong>Yoshii Toranaga </strong>(Hiroyuki Sanada), who is fighting for his life after his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him; British sailor <strong>John Blackthorne</strong>, who ends up shipwrecked in Japan; and <strong>Lady Mariko</strong>, a mysterious female samurai.</p>



<h2>Is Shogun based on a real story?</h2>



<p>Clavell’s novel is a fictionalized version of real historical events. For example, the main character, Blackthorne, is inspired by the real-life English navigator <strong>William Adams. </strong>Adams, when he was in Japan, became a samurai under <strong>Tokugawa Ieyasu, </strong>whom the character Toranaga is based on.</p>



<p>Sanada not only stars as Toranaga, he also produced the series. Meanwhile, <strong>Cosmo Jarvis</strong> (Persuasion, Lady Macbeth, It Is In Us All) portrays Blackthorne. <strong>Anna Sawai</strong>, known for playing the role of Naomi in the Apple TV+ drama series Pachinko, will play Toda Mariko.</p>

<h2>What is “Echo” about?</h2>



<p>Echo, which was released on Jan. 9th, follows Maya Lopez (Cox) is being pursued by <strong>Wilson Fisk’s organization</strong> and returns to her hometown five months after the events of Hawkeye (2021). There she will be dealing with her past, reconnecting with her Native American heritage, and embracing her family and community.</p>



<p>Apart from Cox, the rest of the cast includes <strong>Chaske Spencer</strong>, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene. The series also features appearances from Vincent D’Onofrio, as Kingpin, as well as <strong>Charlie Cox</strong>, as Daredevil.</p>
