Netflix’s new series “One Day” has become a phenomenon for the platform. It’s not only the most watched show on the platform globally, it has also been well received by both critics and audiences. A big part of the success are the great performances from its two leads: Ambika Mod, who plays Emma, and Leo Woodall, who plays Dexter.

Woodall’s portrayal of Dexter has earned him the attention of media and fans. While Dex is a good-looking carefree child-man, the character undergoes a really heavy transformation fueled mostly by heartbreak and grief. And Woodall excelled in both stages. It was precisely Dexter’s silliness and vulnerability that drew him to the part, “It’s just a beautiful, beautiful story, and it has this legacy already,” he told Tudum.

While “One Day” proved that he had what it takes to be a leading man, he had already started to pave his path in productions such as “The White Lotus,” “Cherry” and “Citadel.” And he’s not stopping anytime soon. Check out all his next movies and series.
