Zendaya has not only proven to be a true It Girl but also has been accumulating major projects that have become some of the most anticipated titles of the year, and among them is Challengers.

The drama, directed by Luca Guadagnino and based on a script written by Justin Kuritzkes, features the presence of several great actors, but those who co-star with the actress are Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor.

The film was supposed to be released in August, but its release was delayed, and a new date has finally been announced along with the arrival of a second trailer where new scenes delve into the chaos of the story.

When will Challengers be released?

Luca Guadagnino‘s Challengers finally has a release date, and everything indicates that the drama will hit the big screen on April 26, 2024. So, it won’t be too long before we finally find out where the story is headed.

In essence, the R-rated feature should have arrived earlier, but its debut was delayed due to the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strike. Originally slated for August, it was pushed back to September and now once again to April.

Zendaya will portray Tashi Donaldson, accompanied by Mike Faist in the role of Art Donaldson and Josh O’Connor as Patrick Zweig. The trio will not only be entangled in multiple dramas but also in an intense relationship.

The story of competition in both sports and matters of the heart follows three players who met as teenagers while competing in a tennis tournament to become the winner of the world-famous Grand Slam. There, they rekindle old rivalries both on and off the court.
