<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/florence-pugh">Florence Pugh</a> continues her rapid ascend on Hollywood rankings with her newest role: Princess Irulan in Denis Villenueve’ “Dune: Part Two.” The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">film</a> is projected to be one of the biggest <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a> of the year, and it has already received rave reviews.



Of course, this won’t be Pugh’s first hit. After her breakthrough role in the 2016 period drama “Lady Macbeth,” she has starred in titles such as “Midsommar,” “Little Women,” “The Wonder” and, most recently, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.”

<h3>Thunderbolts (May 2, 2025)</h3>



One of Pugh’s next projects is Marvel’s “Thunderbolts,” in which she will reprise her role as Yelena Belova. The movie, directed by Jake Schreier, also stars Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Harbour, Olga Kurylenko, Harrison Ford, and Lewis Pullman. Filming begins in February 2024 and it will reportedly last until July 2024.



<h3>We Live In Time (TBD)</h3>



Pugh will star alongside Andrew Garfield in this romantic drama. While the plot hasn’t been disclosed yet, the movie was filmed in April of last year. It’s directed by John Crowley from a screenplay by Nick Payne. The rest of the cast includes: Adam James, Marama Corlett, Aoife Hinds, Nikhil Parmar, Heather Craney and Kara Lynch.

Deadline reported back in 2022 that Netflix was working on a limited series adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic novel East of Eden, with Zoe Kazan writing and exec producing. Pugh is attached to star and co-produce. However, there haven’t been updates on the project.



<h3>The Maid (TBD)</h3>



Another project that was announced a while back is “The Maid,” which was first reported in 2020. The film is a murder mystery based on the novel of the same name by Nita Prose, which was published in 2022. Pugh was also set to produce the film for Universal Pictures.



<h3>Dolly (TBD)</h3>



In 2021, Deadline reported that Pugh was set to star in this dystopian film in which she will portray a “companion robot” who kills new owner. The movie was written by Vanessa Taylor and Drew Pearce Penning, but the project wasn’t officially greenlit at the time. A director was in search.

<h2>Is ‘Poor Things’ available on streaming?</h2>



Poor Things will arrive on digital on Feb. 27th, meaning that it will be available to buy on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Vudu, Youtube and more. However, according to Decider, the movie won’t be available to rent just yet, but instead on March 12, per a Disney representative.

“For five and a half years, Ken faced a series of awful challenges from ALS. And in truest Ken fashion, he managed to rise above each one with grace and commitment, to live a full and joyous life in each moment,” the statement reads. 



The actor announced in 2020 that he was diagnosed with ALS, a progressive nervous system disease, in 2018, and he had been using a wheelchair since 2019. The story is set in 1989 and follows an unpopular and misunderstood girl who accidentally reanimates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm. From there, she begins to rebuild him to turn him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.

Talking to Animation Magazine, producer Kelly Cooney Cilella explained that Ruby’s self-discovery journey and her “embracing” a new side of her “was such an exciting story for me to tell on such a grand scale.” Actually, the movie was inspired by some teen classics such as Easy A (2010), Lady Bird (2017) and Booksmart (2019), as DeMicco told the magazine.



Despite having popularity on streaming, the film was a box office failure, grossing $46 million against a $70 million budget. Meanwhile, reviews were mixed, with some praising the cast and animation, but criticized the script.

After the adaptation of Beautiful Disaster with Dylan Sprouse, fans and readers of Jamie McGuire‘s novel eagerly awaited the arrival of the sequel, titled Beautiful Wedding, as the extra book in the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/series">series</a>.

Dylan Sprouse has returned to the sequel to once again bring Travis Maddox to life, while Virginia Gardner has returned as Abby ‘Pigeon’ Abernathy. Of course, the characters’ most loyal friends (Shepley and America) have also returned, portrayed by Austin North and Libe Barer.

Great news for all video game fans! Borderlands will have its own adaptation, and it’s just a few months away from making its debut on the big screen, starring some of the most well-known actors in the industry.



<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/cate-blanchett">Cate Blanchett</a> is leading the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">film</a>, which was directed by Eli Roth and co-written with Joe Crombie, based on the video game series of the same name developed by Gearbox Software.



Despite many not having high expectations for the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a>, even labeling it the “disaster of the year”, opinions have changed after the trailer was released, as it looked quite brutal and like a sea of madness.

The characters will make their big leap to the silver screen in an adventure reminiscent of Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy. In the first trailer, published by the game’s official site on YouTube, we see how madness quickly unfolds.



The famous shooter has been extremely successful and has gained recognition from both critics and players. It incorporated a mission-driven narrative with a touch of black humor, so we can expect more of the same in the movie.



The story unfolds on the fictional planet of Pandora, where players take on the roles of treasure seekers, vault hunters, and embark on missions to find alien technology. Now, A-list stars will be doing this for you.

Cate Blanchett will bring the main character, Lilith, to life, who in the game is a Siren with psychic abilities, agile, and can traverse distances quickly with her special ability, Phasewalk.



Kevin Hart will portray Roland, a soldier and former Crimson Lance soldier, known for his support and leadership skills. He can deploy a turret as his special ability, providing tactical advantages to his team.



Jack Black will lend his voice and life to Claptrap, a small yellow rectangular robot. He is famous for his unique and eccentric personality. Although a robot, he exhibits attributes and behaviors often resembling those of a human.

She is portrayed as a brilliant but unbalanced person with obsessive tendencies and peculiar behaviors.



Ariana Greenblatt is Tiny Tina, an orphaned girl with extraordinary skills in explosives and mechanics. Despite her youthful appearance, she has a penchant for explosions and a rather particular sense of humor.



Florian Munteanu will play Krieg, whose full name is Psycho Krieg the Vault Hunter and stands out as a Psycho struggling to maintain his sanity and control his killer instincts, as he feels a love for violence.

It’s also a remake of the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/anne-hathaways-one-day-how-to-watch-the-romantic-drama-on-streaming-20240214-SPEN-6072.html">2011’s movie with Anne Hathaway</a>. In the show, she plays Emma Morley, an idealist writer who tries to make her way in the world.

“This Is Going to Hurt” is a British medical dramedy, which follows a cohort of junior doctors employed in an obstetrics and gynecology ward within a National Health Service hospital. As other medical dramas, it showcases the emotional toll of the demanding workplace.

With only seven episodes, the series is perfect for a binge-watch. However, just as “One Day,” viewers will have some heavy emotions as they watch the characters struggle with their taxing jobs. In the trailer, which was released on Feb. 20th, we see Lohan as Maddie, a woman who is headed to Ireland for her best friend’s wedding. But there’s a problem: she is in love with the groom, Paul, played by Alexander Vlahos. So, as it happens, she makes a wish to find true love and wakes up as the bride-to-be.

<h2>Who is in the cast of “Irish Wish”?</h2>



Lohan, who is a veteran of the genre with titles such as “Just My Luck” or “The Parent Trap,” stars as Maddie, a very different character from her previous one in “Falling For Christmas.” The actress described Maddie as “a bit of a bookworm,” in an interview with Netflix Tudum back in November.



“She’s a nerd, which I loved playing. But she’s a sweetheart. She’s kind of naive, and she keeps it that way because her head is always focused on writing and stuff,” she said to Netflix.

Before “Anyone But You,” Will Gluck took inspiration from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “The Scarlet Letter” to create a teen classic, “Easy A.” The film stars Emma Stone as Olive, who becomes an outcast when a series of rumors about her intimate life start circulating out of control.

After being released on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> on Feb. 15th, “Crossroads” has become the eighth most-watched <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> on the platform in the US, according to FlixPatrol. The film, which stars <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/britney-spears">Britney Spears</a> and Zoe Saldana, is celebrating 22 years since its release and it has become a cult classic.



The coming-of-age drama was directed by Tamra Davis, who is known for her work on other notable films such as “Billy Madison” and “Half Baked.” It was Spears’ acting debut, in which she shared the screen with other stars such as Zaldana, Taryn Manning, Anson Mount, Dan Aykroyd, and Kim Cattrall.

<h2>‘Crossroads’ revisited: More than a Spears’ stars vehicle</h2>



‘Crossroads’ was, from its conception, Spear’s star vehicle and critics at the time of its release didn’t love it. The majority of the reviews slammed the script, and were divisive regarding Spears’ performance. While some critics believed she came off as “likable,” others thought her acting was insincere.



However, 20 years later, many critics have found that the film is better than how it was received, especially when it’s reinterpreted in the wake of Spear’s own career and life. For example, Rob Sheffield from Rolling Stone wrote that it has been “hidden for too long. Like Britney herself, it deserves a chance to break free.”

Meanwhile, Mekita Rivas from Harper’s Bazaar recently wrote that “The film’s plot, which turns 20 today, is essentially a loose recounting of Spears’s own journey from a small-town Southern girl to a global superstar.”



Of course, this is not rare as Spears and her team developed the concept for it, which was later written by a pre-Grey’s Anatomy Shonda Rhimes. While the movie is, on its exterior, a tale of friendship and love, it also deals with darker themes (although, with an admittedly light approach) such as bodily autonomy, teen pregnancy, abuse and more.

<h2>Will Gluck talked about the chemistry between the protagonists</h2>



During an interview with Above the Line, the director spoke about creating the project that now shines among the titles in the romance genre but emphasized the chemistry between the rom-com’s protagonists, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell.



“Honestly, the chemistry I saw between Syd and [Glen]… people always talk about chemistry, that crazy word, but the first time Sydney arrived in Australia that Sunday, straight from Italy after filming her movie ‘Immaculate,’ which is this Italian Vatican movie. She came to Sydney on Sunday, they sat where we were staying, and they started rehearsing, and in about a minute, I thought, ‘Oh my God, thank God. This is amazing,’ and nothing else mattered except these two, and then we got to work”, Will Gluck confessed.

Later, when asked about the script he co-wrote with Ilana Wolpert, he spoke about sharing the film with both actors and the back-and-forth he had regarding the story. There, he confessed:



“I heard there was a script that Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell were attached to, and I always wanted to work with them. I called them and said, ‘What’s going on with this?’ We all met, talked for a long time, and then said, ‘What if we do this? We’d like to do it this way.’ So we all joined hands and did it the way we wanted, and we got to work. Everything came together pretty quickly“.



<h2>Glen Powell talked about romantic comedies</h2>



Emma Baty from Cosmopolitan conducted an interview with the actor who portrayed Ben in the romantic comedy. He spoke about his experience with the genre (with which he is no stranger, having acted in several) and how he feels about participating in this type of projects.

“The romcom has now mostly gone to the streamers, which is completely fine, but I think it’s taken away from the cinematic theatrical part where we don’t just buy this as comfort food. 



The romcoms you and I grew up on were actually great movies. I watched My Best Friend’s Wedding the other day and it’s so fun. It’s things like that, where you’re not just making a romcom because that’s a genre that needs to fill out a piece of an algorithm, but putting care into into it”.

The criticism received by the new romantic comedy has been diverse, and some of the writers working for major outlets such as Variety or IndieWire have been quite harsh but objective.



David Ehrlich wrote for IndieWire: “Anyone But You may not be funny or memorable enough to make romantic comedies matter again as a genre, but it might bring us a little closer to that goal precisely because it doesn’t burden itself with that objective. This is nothing more than old-fashioned frivolity with freshly created stars and a luxurious supporting cast“.

Britt Robertson is the one who brought the main character to life in this wacky story, which was scripted by Todd M. Friedman and Kevin Haskin. Despite being released in 2023, the Andy Palmer-directed <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">film</a> is trending again.

The story takes Britt Robertson back to her student years as she portrays Molly Singer, a young woman with a mission she cannot afford to spoil. Jaime Pressly, Wendie Malick and Ty Simpkins accompany her in significant roles.

The plot follows a young lawyer who must go undercover, to save her job, by enrolling as a freshman at her alma mater to resurrect the well-being of her boss’s terribly awkward teenage son.



The hilarious movie offers a mix of various elements, but especially absurd comedy and ambivalence. With an R rating, the story portrays themes such as responsibility, adulthood, and how the young lawyer must revisit her adolescence for a mission.
