<p>‘<strong>Dark Waters’ </strong>is a legal <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a></strong> which is based on a real-life story of Robert Billott, a lawyer known for his <strong>20-year litigation</strong> against the chemical manufacturing corporation DuPont after they contaminated the water of rural towns in West Virginia with unregulated chemicals.</p>



<p>The <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a></strong>, which is directed by <strong>Todd Haynes</strong>, was mostly based on The New York Times Magazine 2016 article, <strong><em>“The Lawyer Who Became DuPont’s Worst Nightmare”</em></strong> by Nathaniel Rich. While it’s not on Netflix’s Top 10, this drama is still one of the most popular titles on streaming this week, according to JustWatch.</p>



<h2>‘Dark Waters,’ a must-watch legal drama based on a true story</h2>



<p>Despite having a star-studded cast and being directed by a renowned filmmaker as <strong>Haynes,</strong> the movie, which was originally released in 2019, was <strong>overlooked by the Oscars and other major awards.</strong> However, it was a critical darling, receiving mostly positive reviews for its script, performances and direction.</p>



<p><strong>Ruffalo</strong> stars as Billott, while <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/anne-hathaway">Hathaway</a></strong> plays his wife Sarah Barlage Bilott. <p>In the film, we follow how Billott started his long-time legal battle against DuPont, the company mostly known for producing the<strong> popular non-stick Teflon pans.</strong> One thing about the movie that critics have admired the most is the fact that it doesn’t embellish the true story in the dramatization, <strong>sticking mostly to the facts.</strong></p>



<p>And, in words of Ruffalo, the facts are that the film follows <em>“<strong>one of the greatest cover-ups in American history,</strong> and it affects everyone in the world now, and nobody knows about it,”</em> he told ABC news back in 2019. <em>“PFOA, it’s pretty much everywhere. They first found it in eagle eggs and that’s what kind of raised the alarm in the first place, but they found it everywhere. <strong>It’s in polar bears, it’s in 99% of all living creatures on the planet</strong>,”</em> he explained.</p>



<p>So, if you’re looking for a daunting legal drama, ‘Dark Waters’ might be the perfect watch as, sadly, it was kind of overlooked at the time of its release. It’s not only a film about a specific case, but about a <strong>whole system </strong>that still puts us, all of us, in danger.</p>

<h2>Who wrote the soundtrack for The Idea of You?</h2>



<p><strong>Savan Kotecha</strong> and <strong>Carl Falk</strong> were the ones most involved in creating the soundtrack for The Idea of You, as well as the singles for August Moon. The first song released, <em>Dance Before We Walk</em>, was written by them.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Swedish composer Falk has been involved in other major productions, such as the 2017 musical documentary <em>Avicii: True Storie</em>s, which has been a success in multiple countries and tells the story of the renowned DJ.</p>



<h2>When will the album of the movie be released?</h2>



<p>The full soundtrack album for “The Idea of You” will be released on May 2, the same day the movie joins the Prime Video catalog. So, only then will we know all the songs performed by August Moon.</p>

<h2>‘The Idea of You’ author has denied the Harry Styles’ fan-fic accusations</h2>



<p>In 2020, after the book the film is based on became a bestseller, its author <strong>Robinne Lee</strong> talked to Vogue about her inspiration for the story. While fans have identified its male character with the <strong>“Adore You” singer</strong>, the author claimed that was never the intention.</p>



<p><strong><em>“This was never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles,</em></strong>” she told Vogue. <em>“It was supposed to be a story about a woman approaching 40 and reclaiming her sexuality and rediscovering herself,<strong> just at the point that society traditionally writes women off as desirable and viable and whol</strong>e</em>,” she added. </p>



<p>However, she admits taking some inspiration from Styles to create Campbell. <em><strong>“I made him into my dream guy, like Prince Harry, meets Harry [Styles],” </strong></em>as well as getting things from ex-boyfriends and a little of her husband too. And, of course, the film has also made sure to take some things from Styles too, as fans have noticed that the first images are very, very similar to some old <strong>1D shoots.</strong> See for yourself:</p>

<p><strong>Adele Lim</strong> (Crazy Rich Asians and Joy Ride) has been chosen to direct the film, and Deadline reported that filming will begin in 2025, so the Disney’s movie could arrive sometime in 2026, according to estimates.</p>



<p>So far, the official plot has not been revealed, nor has it been confirmed who will return besides the actress, but <strong>Julie Andrews</strong> has expressed a strong desire to reprise her role as Clarisse Renaldi. </p>

<p>The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by <strong>Robinne Lee.</strong> The script was penned by <strong>Jennifer Westfeldt </strong>(Friends with Kids), and it follows Solène, as she starts an unexpected romance with Campbell after taking her 16-year-old daughter to Coachella.</p>

<p>You’ve probably heard that “The Idea of You” was a fan-fiction about Harry Styles (such as another popular romance saga, “After”) but Lee has cleared up the speculation, telling Vogue that while a video of Harry inspired her to write the book, <strong>Campbell wasn’t supposed to represent the singer.</strong></p>



<p>Apart from Hathaway and Galitzine, the movie stars <strong>Ella Rubin</strong>, Reid Scott, Jordan Aaron Hall, Jaiden Anthony, Raymond Cham Jr. Viktor White, Dakota Adan, Annie Mumolo and Perry Mattfeld.</p>

<h2>Several A-list stars joined Season 2 of Netflix’s Beef</h2>



<p><strong>Beef </strong>has been renewed for a second season on <strong>Netflix</strong>, and after the Independent Spirit Awards, the show’s executive producer and creator reportedly confirmed the addition of <strong>Jake Gyllenhaal </strong>and <strong>Anne Hathaway</strong> to the cast.</p>



<p>Deadline reported the possibility of integrating two interwoven storylines into the plot. This time, we will not only follow the characters played by <strong>Ali Wong</strong> and <strong>Steven Yeun</strong> but also have the two stars as co-protagonists.</p>

<p>However, that’s not all, as <strong>Charles Melton</strong> and <strong>Cailee Spaeny</strong> have also joined the cast to carry out their own storyline. So, there could be not only two but three stories in total, with some being more prominent than others.</p>



<p>The actors have not commented yet, but <strong>Sung Jin</strong> signed an exclusivity deal with Netflix for all his stories to be featured on the streaming platform. So, therein lies the second installment of the hit <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/series">series</a> that became super popular during 2023.</p>



<p>According to Glamour, the show might become an anthology series, similar to <em><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/max/the-white-lotus-season-3-cast-location-plot-and-potential-release-date-20240110-SPEN-1246.html">The White Lotus</a></em>, where each season tells a different story but remains connected to the same theme. Yeun mentioned that he hasn’t been informed of anything yet but supports the filmmaker.</p>



<p>The South Korean director opened up to Variety about the project and said, <em>“I feel like there are many paths. It could stay limited; it was a very closed story. But if Netflix wants to continue, it could also be an anthology. It could be many things. It depends on the big algorithm. We’re waiting to hear from it”</em>.</p>



<h2>When could the Season 2 of Beef be released?</h2>



<p>Well, it hasn’t been confirmed yet when the second season of Beef will arrive on Netflix, but <strong>it’s estimated to debut in late 2024 or early 2025</strong> as it’s currently in pre-production.</p>
