House of Spoils” is the new major project of Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose, who has already dazzled us in various genres, such as musical comedy and drama. This time, the star will dive into horror.

The psychological thriller, produced by Blumhouse (known for this type of titltes), is directed by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. It is currently scheduled to debut on October 3 on Prime Video.

The highly anticipated film, which blends science fiction with spirits and fantasy, explores themes such as anxiety, the challenges of leading a restaurant, and the dark repercussions of ambition.

Is House of Spoils based on a true story?

No! House of Spoils, which will premiere on Thursday, October 3, on Amazon’s catalog, is not based on a true story, but is the work of the brilliant minds of Bridget Savage Cole (Cowboys & Aliens) and Danielle Krudy (Moonhaven).

The upcoming movie promises to blend culinary drama with horror, including ghostly interference and disturbing images such as spoiled food and insect infestations, according to Hola! USA magazine.

The story follows the character of Ariana DeBose (West Side Story, Hamilton and Argylle), a chef opening her first restaurant, who faces kitchen chaos, a dubious investor, and her own insecurities.

Despite trying to overcome all obstacles, the pressure mounts when the spirit of the former owner threatens to sabotage her dreams of her project at a remote estate with a “farm-to-table” approach, and chaos ensues in her life.
