<p><strong>Netflix</strong> has once again updated its <strong>Top 10 list </strong>of the most-watched <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a> during the week, and this time <strong>it was “Split” which took the second position</strong>, displacing other hits on the platform.</p>



<p>According to Flix Patrol, the psychological horror <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a> has been accumulating hundreds of views among American users, and although it’s not a global hit, it’s one of the most popular in the United States.</p>

<p>The film centers around a man named Kevin Wendell Crumb, portrayed by <strong>James McAvoy</strong>, who suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID), formerly known as multiple personality disorder.</p>



<p>The plot unfolds when Kevin kidnaps three teenagers and holds them captive in an unknown location. As the girls try to escape, they discover that he possesses multiple personalities.</p>



<p>Each of these personalities has distinct and, in some cases, dangerous characteristics. Among these personalities is “The Beast”, a violent and superhuman figure.</p>

<p>A notable aspect of the film is its connection to another Shyamalan title, “<strong>Unbreakable</strong>” from 2000, revealed at the end of “Split” through a post-credits scene, which led fans to speculate about a possible continuation.</p>



<p>These theories were confirmed with the movie “<strong>Glass</strong>” from 2019, which served as a sequel to both films, completing an unexpected but well-received trilogy for fans of <strong>M. Night Shyamalan</strong>‘s cinema.</p>

<p>The global Top 10 of the <strong>most-watched</strong> <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a></strong> on<strong> <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> </strong>has a new addition: an Argentine <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a></strong> titled <strong>“Rest In Peace.”</strong> According to FlixPatrol, the movie is Top 8 worldwide. Goya-winner director <strong>Sebastian Borensztein</strong>, known for films such as “Un Cuento Chino” and “La Odisea de los Giles,” helms the project, which has received positive reviews.</p>



<p>The movie landed on Netflix on March 21, and it has quickly become one of the trending films on the platform. In Argentina, “Rest In Peace” is the most-watched film. The movie tells the story of a man trapped by debt who<strong> pretends to be dead to protect his family.</strong></p>



<p>“Rest in Peace” is based on the book of the same name by Martin Baintrub, which was published in 2018. It stars <strong>Joaquín Furriel, Griselda Siciliani, Gabriel Goity, Lali González, </strong>and <strong>Luciano Borges.</strong></p>



<h2>What is ‘Rest in Peace’ about?</h2>



<p>This dark thriller pushes viewers to ponder what they would do in such an extreme situation, teetering between life and death. Produced by <strong>Ricardo Darín, </strong>the film draws from the<strong> AMIA bombing and the socio-economic context of 1994.</strong></p>

<p>The film follows Sergio, a small business owner struggling during the era of import liberalization under Menem’s presidency. Faced with mounting debts, the protagonist finds himself at the site of the<strong> AMIA attack on July 18, 1994. </strong>Surviving the explosion, he deceives the world into believing he died, vanishing to shield his family from poverty.</p>



<p>However, he then finds himself missing his family. What would he do? The ending of the film has been quite controversial, with some critics finding it clichéd. However, all the critics agree that <strong>Furriel’s performance is exceptional.</strong></p>



<p>While the film is set in Argentina,<strong> author Baintrub said that he drew inspiration for the story after 9/11</strong>. <em>“Then I brought it to Argentina, setting it in the context of the AMIA attack and the financial crisis of Menem’s government. It was a good idea,”</em> he told Radio Nacional.</p>
