Typically, the entertainment industry struggles to replicate the success of iconic originals with sequels, but last year, “That ’90s Show” defied expectations. This sequel series focused on portraying the children of the main characters from “That ’70s Show,” and it was a huge hit.

The production spent several weeks in the Top 10 of Netflix’s series since its very first hours on the platform. It garnered praise from both critics and audiences for its ability to honor the charm of the original while forging its own path.

The plot revolves around Leia Forman, the 14-year-old daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti, as she spends the summer of 1995 with her grandparents, Red and Kitty, in Point Place, Wisconsin. During her time there, she forms bonds with other teenagers and undergoes experiences that illustrate the journey of growing up.

When is the second season of That ’90s Show coming to Netflix?

Yesterday, Netflix released the trailer for the second season of “That ’90s Show”, announcing that it would be divided into two parts. The first part is scheduled to premiere on June 27, with the second part following on October 24, each consisting of eight episodes.

Similar to the first season, these two parts will not adhere to a weekly release schedule. Instead, all episodes will be available for streaming on the day of airing.

The comedy series will once again feature Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp, Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Reyn Doi, Sam Morelos, and Maxwell Acee Donovan. Laura Prepon and Seth Green, both from the original show, are also set to star.

The production may include additional surprises, as the first season featured numerous cameos. Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Wilmer Valderrama all made appearances, expressing their gratitude for the original show.

While there’s no news about a third season of “That ’90s Show” yet, considering the success of “That ’70s Show,” which ran for eight seasons, it’s highly probable that its sequel will follow a similar path if it achieves high viewership upon release.
