After being delayed due to the writers and actors’ strikes that took place in 2023, “Wednesday” has finally started production for its highly-anticipated second season. Netflix confirmed the news by releasing some pictures of the cast, including Jenna Ortega, in their first reading.

Season 1 of “Wednesday” is Netflix’s biggest English-language series of all time, with 252,100,000. The series follows the iconic character from the Addams family, this time as a teenager who arrives at Nevermore Academy, a private school for monstrous outcasts.

Ortega, who plays the titular role, earned an Emmy nomination for Lead Actress in a Comedy series, while the series won four Emmys of 12 nods. However, this time, the 21-year-old actress will also be working as executive producer. Here’s everything to know about Season 2 of the teen horror series.

Who is returning?

Ortega will of course be returning as Wednesday Addams. However, now the whole Addams family will be joining as series regular with Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), and Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) also returning. Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, who plays a deputy of Sheriff Galpin, has been also been promoted to series regular.

When it comes to Wednesday friends, Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene Ottinger), and Georgie Farmer (Ajax Petropolus) will also be returning. Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) and Jamie McShane (Donovan Galpin) also come back in guest roles.
