What is ‘The Bequeathed’ about?
‘The Bequeathed’ is based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Tae-kyung. The series follows Yoon Seon-ha (Kim Hyun-joo), an assistant instructor at a university who also struggles with the infidelity of her husband, Yang Jae-seok (Park Sung-hoon). When she inherits a burial ground after the death of an unknown uncle, she finds herself in the center of a string of murders and dark secrets.
Investigating the case, there are two detectives Choi Seong-joon (played by Park Hee-soon) and Park Sang-min (played by Park Byung-eun), who are not always on the same page. If this wasn’t enough, she also discovers she has a half-brother Kim Yeong-ho (played by Ryu Kyung-soo), who also wants to claim his share of the familial ground.
The series has received mixed reviews
While the series has a strong cast and a strong team behind it, it has failed to impress some of the critics. According to IMDb, ‘The Bequeathed’ has a score of 6.6 out of ten, while NME gives it three out of five stars.
