If there’s something better than a rom-com, it’s a rom-com starring Harry Connick Jr. Netflix has granted our wish with “Find Me Falling,” which became one of the most-watched movies in the United States just a few hours after its release.

The film has all the essential ingredients for a great romance, including a perfect location. Set in Cyprus, specifically in Pegeia and Nicosia, it showcases not only the island’s beautiful landscapes but also the rich culture of its people, from food to traditions.

“Find Me Falling” is both directed and written by Stelana Kliris, a South African Cypriot writer who beautifully highlights the best of her birthplace, enhancing the central relationship in this heartwarming production.

The film has impressively surpassed “Hillbilly Elegy” and “The Long Game,” two front-runners expected to dominate the charts this week. Now, it’s competing with “Trolls Band Together” and Russell Crowe‘s “Land of Bad” for the top spot.

“Find Me Falling” centers on John Allman, a rockstar who retreats to the dreamy Mediterranean island of Cyprus after a failed comeback album. He soon discovers that his new cliffside house has a unique characteristic that attracts unwanted visitors.

Harry Connick Jr. stars as John, supported by a cast that includes Agni Scott, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Tony Demetriou, and Angeliki Filipidou.
