The first part of Bridgerton’s Season 3 will finally arrive on Netflix in May, and fans of the period drama can’t wait to watch how the love story between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) will evolve. However, if there’s another major character that fans can’t wait to see this season is Eloise Bridgerton.
Eloise, played by Claudia Jesse, has become one of the most-beloved characters of the romantic drama, arguably just behind Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). But, while fans will watch the older Bridgerton sibling living his best married life with Kate (Simone Ashley), questions about Eloise’s future romance are swirling.
As many viewers know by now, the series is based on Julia Quinn’s novels following each sibling each. So, while the show has made significant changes to some of the original story’s plots so far, they haven’t changed much of the romantic interests. So, here’s what we know about Eloise’s story, according to the books and how the series can tackle them.
Bridgerton spoilers: Eloise’s romantic interest has been hinted in the series
As we said, there have been some changes from the books to the series. However, everything seems to indicate that Eloise will still have the same love interest as in the novel: Sir Phillip Crane, played by Chris Fulton. In the series, we saw him in the first season, as the brother of George Crane, Marina’s first love interest.
In Season 1, Phillip Crane appears to tell Marina that George was found dead in the battlefield, and he asks her to marry him to fulfill his duty to not leave her alone and pregnant. In Season 2, he appears again, as Colin is visiting Marina one last time.
In the book, Eloise and Phillip start a friendship after she writes him a letter to give him her condolences due to Marina’s death. After writing for months, he proposes to her and she goes to his house to see if she would be interested in him. After that, the two of them form a strong bond, despite their early differences.

During an event for Still Watching Netflix, Jessie joined Coughlan and Newton to discuss what Season 3 would bring. As it was shown in the trailer, Eloise will be apart from Penelope after discovering that she is Lady Whistledown, and now will be friends with Cressida Cooper.
“Yeah! I’m sorry, but apparently, she showed Eloise kindness when no one else would, you backstabber!“ Jessie told Coughlan. “So, I think she’s just a little upset about the whole Lady Whistledown thing,” she added.
Bridgerton Season 3 will air on Netflix in two parts. The first part will premiere on May 16 and another part will release next month on June 13.
