After The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the world of The Hunger Games continues to expand, just like Panem. This time, it will be through “Sunrise on the Reaping“, the upcoming adaptation by the talented author Suzanne Collins.

The story will explore Haymitch Abernathy’s past, focusing on his experiences as a tribute during the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell, and will begin on the day the event starts.

Both the drama and the book will highlight how he becomes the second victor from District 12. These were notable for featuring a twist in which 48 tributes (2 boys and girls from each district) competed instead of the usual 24.
