How many Deadpool movies will there be?

Although the franchise is at its peak, Deadpool might not have a hopeful future in Marvel, as Ryan Reynolds reportedly rejected the idea of making a fourth movie following the success of “Deadpool & Wolverine“.

The Wrap reported that the actor who plays the hero attended an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and, in his characteristic style, joked about the future of the installment, saying it would have dire personal consequences.

My wife and children will divorce me. Jimmy, I have no prenup with any of them. I will be capital ‘B’ broke, and in turn, probably then doing ‘Deadpool 4’ ’cause I’d need the money“, he joked with the program’s host.

This means we could be facing the extinction of Deadpool, implying that the character would only have three solo movies. During the conversation, the actor also suggested that someone else should take over his role.

Despite the funny moments the star has portrayed on the show, it was no joke when he stated that, for now, he would not embark on a fourth installment of the franchise, as he has been carrying the Marvel icon for years.

If this is indeed the end of his performance, it can undoubtedly be said that he would retire in style, as he shared the third part of the story with one of his best friends, Hugh Jackman, and paved the way for the X-Force.
