“Ballerina Overdrive” is an upcoming independent action film directed by Vicky Jewson, known for her work on the thriller “Close”. The project will bring together some of the most sought-after young talents.
Originally, actresses like Lena Headey, Yara Shahidi and Isabela Merced were attached to the big title, but they later left the production, making way for Maddie Ziegler, Avantika and Lana Condor, among others.
The drama will be produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, renowned for their work on “Bullet Train” and “Atomic Blonde”, under the 87North production company, in collaboration with Gulfstream Pictures.

The action thriller will follow a group of ballerinas who try to escape from a remote inn after their bus breaks down on the way to a dance competition. While stranded, they must fight to survive.
Kate Freund (Creepshow and Wyrm) is responsible for writing the screenplay, which blends action elements with a dance backdrop and forces the protagonists to fight for their lives to survive the night.
Who are the cast of Ballerina Overdrive?
“Ballerina Overdrive” is a female-led project, and most of the cast consists of some of the most promising young figures in the industry. This includes Lana Condor, Maddie Ziegler, Avantika, Iris Apatow and Millicent Simmonds.
