Avengers: Doomsday continues to expand its multiversal puzzle, and the latest report suggests Spider-Man will remain part of it in one form or another. While Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the web-slinger’s role, multiple industry insiders now claim that at least one version of Peter Parker is expected to appear, fueling speculation over whether the film will reunite audiences with a familiar Spider-Man from another universe rather than Tom Holland’s MCU hero.

Which Spider-Man is rumored to appear in Avengers: Doomsday?

Current reports suggest that at least one Spider-Man will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, but there is no confirmation yet about which version of the character it will be.

Neither Marvel Studios nor Sony Pictures has officially announced whether the role belongs to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker or another Spider-Man from the multiverse, leaving the door open to several possibilities.

The latest speculation comes from industry insiders, such as MCU – The Direct, who claim the film will feature at least one Spider-Man, despite the character’s notable absence from Marvel’s official cast announcements and the initial promotional material.

Tom Holland remains the most obvious candidate. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is positioned immediately before Avengers: Doomsday in the MCU timeline, and producer Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige have described the film as the beginning of a new era for Peter Parker following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

That narrative naturally sets him up for Marvel’s next crossover, even if his participation has yet to be confirmed publicly. However, the wording of the report has also reignited speculation surrounding Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Both actors returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home, proving that multiple Spider-Men can coexist within the Multiverse Saga. Because Avengers: Doomsday is expected to unite heroes from different realities—including the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and Fox’s X-Men—many fans believe another multiversal Spider-Man appearance would fit naturally into the story.
