Zendaya is not only the current It Girl but also has multiple major projects on the way, quickly becoming some of the most anticipated of the year, such as Challengers, where she will star for the first time in a sports drama.

Although acting is not her only talent, as she can dance and sing, it is one of her main sources of income, earning a substantial fortune for her work since she established herself in Disney Channel’s Shake It Up.

Furthermore, she is also known for her distinctive style and influence in the fashion world. She has participated in advertising campaigns and fashion events, gaining recognition for her elegance and versatility in dressing.

Dune 3 – TBA

Apparently, Dune 3 is closer than we think, as Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival) would have a plan to carry out the trilogy, based on the science fiction books written by Frank Herbert in 1965.

The second installment has not been released yet, as it is scheduled to make its grand debut on March 1, but it is estimated to be one of the most-watched films of the year, not only because of its stellar cast but also as the much-anticipated sequel.

The filmmaker in charge gave an interview with Empire and assured that being able to make a third part “would be his dream”. The next new drama would adapt Dune Messiah, the direct continuation of Herbert’s novel.

“‘Dune Messiah’ was written as a reaction to the fact that people had perceived Paul Atreides as a hero”, he explained. Based on this, many actors, like Zendaya, have spoken about the possibility of returning to their roles.

The actress stated that she is more than willing to return as Chani. During an interview with Fandango, she confessed, “Would we be down? I mean, of course”, and then added:

“Anytime Denis calls it’s a yes from me, at least. I’m excited to see what happens. I started Messiah and I was like, ‘Woah, I’m only shooting the first movie. Let me just go back to the first one.’ It’s so much to take in, and I think there’s no better hands with better care and love for it than him [Villeneuve]“.

Challengers – April 26, 2024

Challengers is Zendaya’s next major dramatic release, where she not only stars as professional tennis player Tashi Donaldson but also shares the screen with Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, portraying Art Donaldson and Patrick Zweig, respectively.

The story follows three players who met as teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to become the winner of the globally renowned Grand Slam, reigniting old rivalries on and off the court.

The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes, is set to be released on April 26, 2024, in cinemas worldwide. It was also announced that there will be a press tour with the main cast, promising more iconic looks from the star on the red carpet.

Euphoria – 2025

The third season of Euphoria couldn’t be further away, really. The new episodes of HBO’s successful show had their release date shifted as the actors’ and writers’ strike progressed, now set for sometime in 2025.

It is estimated that this will be the conclusion, not only due to the tight schedules of its main cast but also because everyone has grown significantly since the announcement of the third installment in 2022, making it challenging to continue portraying high school students.

Because of this, the plot will take a significant time jump, showing what happened five years after the events of the second season’s finale, where the lives of Rue, Jules, Maddy, Cassie, Lexi, Fez and the others became real chaos.

Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow and Jacob Elordi will be back alongside Zendaya, who is ready to once again star in the drama created by Sam Levinson, who confirmed he is already working on the new script.

During an interview with Fotogramas, the actress talked about her character and confessed that Rue’s only wish is “to be alive and maybe enjoy it”, adding, “And I know she can because Sam wrote it, and Sam is Rue, and he has done it“.

“He is proof that there is hope for Rue and for anyone like Rue, and for the beautiful letters and people who have come up to me, I am so grateful for those experiences when someone approaches me and talks to me about Rue and how they have connected with her or any part of their healing journey that I may have been a part of. For me, that is the greatest gift I can ask for; it gives me euphoria and purpose in what I do”, she added later.

Spider-Man 4 – TBA

The official Viral Pop Culture account confirmed that Zendaya will be back for Spider-Man 4 as MJ, and her commitment to the movie is one of the reasons why the third season of Euphoria has been delayed, as the actress could start filming in a relatively close time frame.

During the new Marvel installment, which could mark the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, we will see the star once again sharing the screen with Tom Holland, her current partner whom she met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The project is currently in production, and according to IMDb, the screenplay will be written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The industry-specialized website has also added Thomas Haden Church to the main cast, indicating that we will see him again as Sandman / Flint Marko.
