A law enforcement official familiar with the security arrangements told AP News that a rehearsal dinner is expected to take place Thursday evening, followed by the wedding celebration on Friday night. The source spoke anonymously because they were not authorized to discuss the plans publicly.
Activity outside Madison Square Garden has also drawn attention throughout the week. Crews have been seen unloading equipment from trucks near the arena, while a large carpet briefly appeared outside one entrance before being removed. Although those developments have intensified public interest, neither Swift nor Kelce has addressed the reports, and Swift’s representatives have not issued a public statement.
New York officials have nevertheless confirmed that preparations are underway for a significant event. During a Wednesday press conference, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the department would have officers assigned to Madison Square Garden on Friday but declined to provide additional operational details. Mayor Zohran Mamdani also confirmed that the city had received a permit application for a large gathering, adding that officials were fully prepared without elaborating further.
