Deadline reports that nearly every original series regular has secured a significant salary increase following the show’s breakout performance, with several actors more than doubling their previous pay after the production established itself as one of the platform’s flagship titles.
‘Landman’ Cast Lands Major Salary Increases Ahead of Season 3
The biggest new agreement belongs to Demi Moore, whose initial contract reportedly covered only two seasons. She has now negotiated a new deal that places her earnings on par with series lead Billy Bob Thornton. According to Deadline, both actors are expected to earn between $740,000 and $770,000 per episode during Season 3.
Thornton’s situation differs slightly, as he remains under a separate three-year contract that includes standard annual increases and would only be renegotiated if the show moves forward with a fourth installment.
Ali Larter also emerged as one of the biggest winners in the latest round of negotiations. While most of the cast reportedly finalized their revised contracts earlier this year, Larter’s deal took longer to complete. The actress ultimately secured a salary of more than $350,000 per episode, more than doubling her previous compensation. The agreement also reportedly includes an additional talent deal beyond her acting salary.
Other original cast members also benefited from the show’s growing popularity. Jacob Lofland and Michelle Randolph, whose performances helped raise their profiles throughout the series, are now expected to earn between $130,000 and $180,000 per episode. Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie and James Jordan also received sizable percentage increases, although their reported salaries remain below those of their co-stars.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, “Landman” is inspired by Wallace’s “Boomtown” podcast and explores the high-stakes world of the West Texas oil industry through the story of Tommy Norris, an oil company executive played by Thornton.
The series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and quickly became one of the streamer’s most successful dramas. It was renewed for a third season in late 2025 following strong audience interest and generally positive critical reception.
