Johansson stars in this romantic comedy set in the 1960s with Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson. The actress plays a marketing exec who is tasked by the White House to film a fake moon landing in case the real mission fails, while Tatum plays the launch director of the operation.
The movie is directed by Greg Berlanti, who is also known for helming “Love, Simon” and being behind CW’s shows such as “Arrow” and “The Flash.” The movie is being distributed by Apple, and Johansson also produces.
Transformers One | September 20, 2024
The actress will voice Elita in this animated movie, which also has Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. Josh Cooley directs.
The movie is being described as the “untold origin story of Optimus Prime (Hemsworth) and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.”
Juarassic World Reboot | TBD
Johansson will appear in the upcoming reboot of the “Jurassic World” franchise alongside Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey. The film will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Rogue One: A Star Wars story). Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo are also attached to the project.
Eleanor The Great | TBD
Johnasson will make her directorial debut in ‘Eleanor The Great.’ The drama, written by Tory Kamen, a ninety-year-old Floridian woman strikes up an unlikely friendship with a nineteen-year-old student in New York City. It stars June Squibb, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht, and Erin Kellyman.
