What are Margot Robbie’s next projects?
As an actress
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey
Margot Robbie has been chosen to co-star in “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey“, the upcoming drama directed by Kogonada, based on an original story written by Seth Reiss, known for developing “The Menu”.
The plot tells an imaginative story of two strangers and the incredible journey that brings them together. Both she and Colin Farrell will play the main characters, but they won’t be the only stars in the cast.

The release date of the movie is not yet known as it is still in production, and filming will begin during the spring. Additionally, the casting process is not finalized as some figures have recently joined.
The project will also feature other significant names in the industry, including Billy Magnussen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Sarah Gadon and Hamish Linklater.
Avengelyne
Although it’s still a rumor, in addition to producing “Avengelyne“, it appears that Margot will also star in the film. The movie will be directed by Olivia Wilde and is a cinematic adaptation of the popular DC comic.
The story follows an angel who is expelled from Heaven and must defend humanity to redeem herself. So far, it’s known that Tony McNamara will be writing the script for the project, which is based on the creation of Rob Liefeld.
Pirates Of The Caribbean spin-off
“Pirates of the Caribbean“, the iconic franchise starring Johnny Depp, will not only have a reboot but will also expand its universe with a spin-off, led by Margot Robbie.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the movie is being written by Christina Hodson. Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that the project is still in development and confessed to Deadline:
“We hope to be able to do both, and I think Disney agrees that they also want to do Margot’s”, as the reboot and this new installment are two different things with different teams behind them.
The actress set to star in the drama also spoke about this upcoming installment, but it was during 2022 when she assured Variety, “We had an idea and we were developing it for a while, years ago, to have a more female-driven story, not entirely female-driven, just a different kind of story, which we thought would have been really cool, but I guess they don’t want to do it“.
Wuthering Heights
Wuthering Heights has been adapted multiple times for the big screen, but in September 2024, it was announced that Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi would be the new faces in the upcoming film, which will be directed by Emerald Fennell.
Not much is known about the project yet, and it’s unclear if the Saltburn director will tell the same story from Emily Brontë‘s classic novel. However, it has been confirmed that filming is scheduled for 2025 in the United Kingdom.
In theory, the drama will focus on the intense and tumultuous relationship between Heathcliff and Cathy, exploring themes of passion, revenge and obsession, which are key elements of the original 1847 novel.
As a producer
Monopoly movie
Robbie’s production company will be responsible for bringing the Monopoly adaptation to the big screen, inspired by the board game. It will focus on the adventures of a boy from the humble Baltic Avenue, in pursuit of fortune.
Tim Story has been chosen to direct the project, based on a script written by Andrew Niccol. Although it’s still in development, it has been confirmed that Kevin Hart has been chosen to star in the adventure comedy.
The Sims movie
After the tremendous success of “Barbie”, the drama in which Margot Robbie not only starred but also produced, the highly anticipated movie adaptation of The Sims is coming next.
The story is still in development, so the plot remains a mystery. However, it is estimated that the movie will feature several stars and will follow a group of characters in their everyday lives, seeking adventures.
