In the sixth episode of the third season of “House of the Dragon,” titled “Smallfolk,” Seasmoke knew what he wanted and went for it. He chose his rider, Addam Velaryon, born Addam of Hull, the bastard son of Corlys Velaryon.

The dragon came to find him after burning the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Steffon Darklyn. This confirms what Viserys said: The dragon chooses its rider, not the other way around. So, we definitely have another protagonist added to the long list of leads in the show’s lore!

Naturally, as happens with every character that suddenly goes into the spotlight, fans want to know everything about the actor behind them. Here, learn everything on Clinton Liberty, the star that portrays Seasmoke’s new rider.

Clinton Liberty’s age, height and beginnings

Clinton Liberty is an Irish actor and dancer born on June 4, 1998, making him 26 years old. According to his resume, he stands at 1.85 meters (6 feet 1 inch). So, if you were wondering if he just looks tall on screen: No, he is also that tall in real life; it’s not just the effect of the cameras.

Of Nigerian descent, Liberty grew up in Laytown, County Meath. He attended Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh and then Coláiste na hInse in Bettystown. It’s also important to mention that he was a member of the dance club Fit Kids/Fit Teens and danced competitively, a skill that led to his onscreen debut as a dancer in the 2016 coming-of-age film “Handsome Devil.”

Liberty later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from The Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin in 2019. Interestingly, this is the same place where Paul Mescal studied, and they were colleagues. Back then (and now), Liberty was a huge admirer of Mescal, as he stated in a 2022 interview for the Irish Mirror:

“Paul was my favorite actor before he became Paul Mescal. I used to see all the plays and everything. I was like a big fan girl over him. 100% I used to get slagged in my class for that. He was my favorite actor, period. Like not even just a drama school.”

Clinton Liberty’s love life: Is the star single?

Judging by his Instagram profile, it appears that Clinton Liberty is single. He frequently posts about his work and private life, and it seems likely he would share about a relationship if he were in one.

While he was linked to his co-star Nadia Parkes from the 2022 Hallmark romance “This is Christmas,” as they posted photos together off-set and seemed very close, it looks like she has been dating James Smith, a young singer and songwriter from East London. So, it was all fiction!

Where to stream Clinton Liberty’s movies and TV shows

While Clinton Liberty’s career is still relatively short, with only 13 credits to his name, some of them are quite notable, and you can find them on streaming services! Firstly, if you want to see his aforementioned screen debut in “Handsome Devil,” you can find it on Peacock.

Returning to the Paul Mescal topic, you can also catch Liberty in “Normal People” on Hulu. There, he plays Kiernan, one of the friends of Mescal’s character Connell, in the first three episodes of Season 1 and the beginning of Season 10 and12.

Furthermore, if you have subscriptions to Hulu and Roku, you can also find him in “Red Election,” the underrated spy thriller series distributed by Viaplay where he portrays Marcus, appearing in all ten episodes except the fifth one.
