While Netflix’s Top 10 is topped by the French thriller “The Wages of Fear,” there’s a new romantic comedy that is becoming one of the most popular titles on the platform. This is “No Pressure,” a Polish movie that is currently, according to FlixPatrol, the third most-watched film globally.
The film is directed by Bartosz Prokopowicz, who is known for films such as “Chemia” (2015), and written by Karolina Frankowska and Katarzyna Golenia. It stars Anna Szymanczyk, who has appeared in titles like “Autumn Girl” (2021), “Television Theater” (1953), and “Letters to Santa” (2011).
Her love interest is played by Mateusz Janicki, known for titles such as ‘Strazacy’ (2015), ‘Pierwsza milosc’ (2004), and ‘Naznaczony’ (2009). Anna Seniuk, Artur Barcis, Angelika Cegielska, Filip Gurfacz, Cezary Zak, Magdalena Smalara, and Paulina Holtz complete the cast. Check out more about this movie.
‘No Pressure,’ the rom-com that has surpassed ‘Irish Wish’
While Lindsay Lohan’s “Irish Wish” has been the most popular rom-com in the past few weeks on Netflix, “No Pressure” has surpassed it on the Top 10. “No Pressure” is set in a village and follows the classic trope of “city girl falling for a rural guy.”
The film follows Olivia, a city chef who returns home to save her grandmother’s farm. However, she finds herself entangled in a web of lies while falling for a mysterious farmer. As they start to develop a relationship, she realizes that he is hiding something.
In the US, the movie also entered the Top 10, landing on the Top 9 spot, according to FlixPatrol. Considering that it only premiered back four days ago (March 27), the film could still climb more places on the most-watched list.
