After starring in the series “Daisy Jones & The Six,” Sam Claflin will return to the big screen with the upcoming horror thriller “Bagman.” The film is the latest horror title from Lionsgate, which has already been behind some new movies this year such as “Imaginary” and “The Strangers: Chapter 1.”
“Bagman” is directed by Colm McCarthy, who is known for titles such as “The Girl with All the Gifts.” Meanwhile, Marty Bowen, John Fischer, Wyck Godfrey, and Isaac Klausner serve as producers. The script was penned by John Hume.
According to what McCarthy said to Collider, when he read the script he was “immediately drawn to the folk horror elements and in particular the crisis of fatherhood that Pat experiences. The raw horror of knowing your child is threatened but being powerless to protect them is every parent’s worst nightmare.” Here’s what to know about the movie.

What is the plot of ‘Bagman’?
In this chilling horror film, the legend of the Bagman comes to life, weaving a tale of fear and survival. The story follows Patrick McKee (Claflin), who relocates his family to his childhood hometown, only to be haunted by traumatic memories of his past. As a child, Patrick encountered the Bagman, a mysterious creature who lurked outside his window, attempting to lure him away from his family.
Upon returning to his hometown, Patrick’s PTSD flashbacks intensify, filled with vivid recollections of the Bagman. These memories reveal a sinister presence that once targeted him, and now, with a son of his own, Patrick becomes increasingly paranoid that the Bagman will return to complete his unfinished business with the next generation.
