Mason Thames has become a trending topic again after the release of his new comedy on Netflix, where he played a young freshman student. “Incoming” quickly became one of the most-watched shows worldwide in record time.

The young star made his acting debut in 2019 in the Apple TV+ series “For All Mankind“, but his big break came with the horror film “The Black Phone“, which will soon have its highly anticipated sequel.

Monster Summer | October 4, 2024

Mason Thames has been chosen to star as Noah in “Monster Summer“, the title directed by David Henrie, who is also known for playing Justin Russo in the Disney+ popular series Wizards of Waverly Place.

The horror movie tells the story of how, when a mysterious force begins to disrupt their summer fun, Noah and his friends team up with a retired police detective to embark on a monstrous adventure to save their island.

The film will premiere on October 4th of this year and will feature multiple industry icons, including Mel Gibson, who will portray Gene. The list of stars is quite extensive, but some of those involved are:

The Black Phone 2 | October 17, 2025

The first installment of The Black Phone became one of the most popular horror movies of 2021, and it was expected that after its tremendous success, a sequel would be on the way. This sequel is set to hit theaters on October 17, 2025.

Scott Derrickson will direct the new installment, as well as develop the script alongside C. Robert Cargill. The original cast will be returning, with Ethan Hawke once again playing The Grabber.

Mason will portray Finney, one of the main characters. In addition to these two stars, the cast includes Madeleine McGraw as Gwen, Miguel Mora as Robin, Rebecca Clarke as Donna and Jeremy Davies.

How to Train Your Dragon | June 13, 2025

How to Train Your Dragon” is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated live-action titles of 2025. Mason will take on the role of Hiccup, while Nico Parker will portray Astrid and Gerard Butler will be Stoick.

The story is essentially the same as that of the animated films and follows a young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons but unexpectedly becomes friends with a young injured dragon.

Dean DeBlois is the one who directed the film and wrote the screenplay. According to IMDb, the new version is set to hit the big screen on June 13th of next year, so the countdown has already begun.
