The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will celebrate the best of TV from June 2022 to May 2023, will take place this Monday, Jan. 15th after being delayed from September. The ceremony will air live on Fox at 8 PM (ET).

After the Golden Globes’ ceremony, in which host Jo Koy was critically panned for its opening monologue, the next hosts will be watched carefully. The Emmys will be hosted by actor and comedian Anthony Anderson, known for his role in “Black-ish.”

He is currently the host of the game show “We Are Family,” alongside his mother Doris Bowman. He has already served as a presenter in the Emmys in 2019, when he opened the ceremony (that year’s show didn’t have a host).

The Bear and Succession are favorites to win Emmys

Typically held in September, the Emmy Awards were delayed due to the Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strike. That’s why there might be confusion surrounding the ceremony. However, shows such as The Bear and Succession, which already won big during the Golden Globes, are also favorites for the Emmy.

There’s an important distinction, though. For example, The Bear is competing for its first season, not its second. Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White could become first-time Emmy winners. Another series that is set to win big is the miniseries Beef, which also won three Golden Globes for Best Actor (Steven Yeun), Best Actress (Ali Wong) and Limited Series.

However, other stronger contenders for awards include Abbott Elementary (ABC), The White Lotus (HBO), The Last of Us (HBO), Barry (HBO), Only Murders in the Building (Hulu) and more.

For those wondering where to stream the Primetime Emmys, the ceremony will be available to watch live on platforms like Fox, DirecTV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, or Sling. It will also be available on Hulu the following day.
