In 2022, Deadline reported that there were going to be new faces in Bridgerton. One of them was Sam Phillips, playing Lord Debling, who, according to the description of the character is “genial lord with unusual interests … with wealth and a noble title to back up his eccentricities.”



It’s worth noting that Debling didn’t appear in the original book by Julian Quinn, “Romancing Mr. Bridgerton.” Phillips told Shondaland that his character is an “outsider,” and that he lives “on the fringes of society.” According to the actor, Debling is looking for a love match, and he thinks Penelope is perfect because she “is a little bit of an outsider like him.”

The romantic <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> follows four New Yorkers gossiping about their sex lives (or lack thereof) and finding new ways to navigate womanhood in the 90s while living in the Big Apple and all that entails.



Created by Darren Star, the 94-episode, six-season <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a> is based on the successful novel written by American columnist Candace Bushnell, which was originally published in 1996.



<h2>Sex and the City ranked No. 6 series on Netflix worldwide</h2>



Although Sex and the City originally aired on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/max">HBO</a> from 1998 to 2004, the iconic TV show has become one of the new trends on Netflix, as it has found a new home among the streaming giant’s users.



According to Flix Patrol, the comedy is not only the #6 most-watched series, but it has also managed to dethrone many popular productions that have been on the worldwide Top 10 for a while, such as Physical: 100.

The story follows the lives of four women in their thirties and forties living in New York City. The episodes focus on their friendships, romantic relationships, careers and their experiences navigating the dating scene in the city.



It received critical acclaim for its writing, performances, and portrayal of female friendship and sexuality. Also for its iconic fashion moments, with Carrie Bradshaw’s eclectic wardrobe becoming particularly influential.



It has gained a large base of devoted fans and has spawned two <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a>, Sex and the City: The Movie in 2008 and Sex and the City 2 in 2010, as well as a prequel series called The Carrie Diaries and a sequel series titled And Just Like That…



<h2>Sex and the City’s most iconic characters</h2>



Of course, many big stars have appeared in episodes of Sex and the City, but the most remembered characters are related to its four protagonists, the most iconic women’s group of friends on television:



Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker): Carrie is a columnist and writer who serves as the show’s protagonist. She is known for her advanced fashion style and her complicated romantic relationships.



Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall): Samantha is a confident and sexually liberated public relations executive who enjoys casual relationships and doesn’t apologize for her desires.

Charlotte York (played by Kristin Davis): Charlotte is an art dealer who is more traditional and idealistic when it comes to love and relationships. She is often looking for her Prince Charming.



Miranda Hobbes (played by Cynthia Nixon): Miranda is a career-focused lawyer who is pragmatic and skeptical about love. She often provides a cynical, yet realistic perspective on relationships.

Love Child is the upcoming <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">drama</a> written and directed by Todd Solondz, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Charles Melton (May December). The stars will join forces to bring this exciting story to life.



The plot follows an 11-year-old boy who tries to change his mother’s love life, with disastrous consequences. The movie will have everything, but especially lots of comedy, unexpected twists and drama.



The actress will bring Misty to life, while Riverdale’s actor will portray Easy. So far, only they have been confirmed as part of the cast, as the project is still in pre-production.

Although it seems like a simple and emotional story, as the scenes progress, it will transform into a suspenseful one. The official narrative features a twisted obsession and a plot that could ruin everything.



It all begins when Junior, a delusional aspiring Broadway star, develops an inappropriate obsession with his mother Misty. After orchestrating an accident that nearly kills his abusive father, Junior encourages Easy, the handsome man living in the family’s guest house, to court his mother and become her new father figure.



But when they both fall in love, Junior becomes so jealous of no longer being the center of his mother’s attention that he devises a plan to frame Easy for the murder of his father. Tension, chaos, and desperation escalate, and the bond between the three quickly derails.



<h3>Eternity | TBA</h3>



Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen and Callum Turner will star in the new romantic <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> to be produced by A24. Not only is it one of the stars’ biggest projects, but it will also have a privileged production team.



Star Thrower will serve as the production company, while David Freyne will direct the film. According to Deadline, Pat Cunnane wrote the script, which appeared on the 2022 Black List.



So far, the plot remains under wraps. However, it is said that the characters will have to decide who they want to spend eternity with. The project is still in pre-production, so the release date is unknown.



Eternity marks Cunnane’s first major screenplay, who previously served as an assistant to President Barack Obama. Therefore, it can be expected that the story will have everything, but especially drama and emotion.



<h3>The Assessment | 2024</h3>



The Assessment is an upcoming <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/sci-fi">science fiction</a> and drama film starring Alicia Vikander, Himesh Patel and Elizabeth. The title is currently in pre-production, but there is no official release date yet.



Directing duties were handled by Fleur Fortune, making her highly anticipated debut as a film director, while Nell Garfath-Cox, Dave Thomas and John Donnelly were responsible for the screenplay.



The story is set in a dystopian future where Earth has been destroyed due to climate change. Olsen and Vikander’s characters will be a couple and central to the plot.



According to El Septimo Arte, the project has received funding of 1 million euros from the regional film fund of Cologne, Filmstiftung NRW, and is produced by Number 9 Films and Filmproduktion.



<h3>The Age of Love | TBA</h3>



The Age of Love joins the list of upcoming <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/romance">romantic</a> comedies starring Elizabeth Olsen, and this time she will be accompanied by Joe Keery. In the film, the actress will portray one of the main characters, named Jill.



Not much is known about the project yet, but it will be directed by Lance Oppenheim and written by Matthew Capodicasa. The story is an adaptation of the homonymous book by Mary South.



<h3>Once There Were Wolves | TBA</h3>



“Once There Were Wolves” is the upcoming television <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a> that will feature Elizabeth in a leading role throughout the first season. The six episodes will star the MCU actress as Aggie. 



It follows Inti Flynn and her twin sister Aggie, who arrive in the Scottish Highlands to lead a team working with gray wolves. Inti hopes to restore the landscape and help Aggie recover from the traumatic events they experienced in Alaska.



So far, it hasn’t been confirmed who else has been cast in the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/tv">TV</a> sci-fi drama, but it is expected to hit the screen sometime in 2025. We’ll have to wait and see!
