Based on the retro-futuristic video game franchise of the same name, “Fallout” is one of the most anticipated new series of the year. The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/sci-fi">sci-fi</a>, produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the duo behind “Westworld,” arrived on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video">Prime Video </a>on April 10, and it quickly garnered a solid viewership.



According to FlixPatrol, the show is currently the third most-watched series worldwide, only behind “Invincible” (in the first position) and “Reacher,” which is second. The series follows the aftermath of a nuclear apocalypse in an alternate version of Earth in which, following World War II, advancements in nuclear technology sparked a retro-futuristic society.



Survivors sought shelter in Vaults, underground bunkers designed to safeguard humanity from nuclear destruction. Fast forward 219 years, a young woman departs Vault 33, her safe haven, embarking on a perilous journey through the desolate wasteland of a ravaged Los Angeles in search of her missing father. <h2>Fallout: Where was the series shot?</h2>



The series was filmed in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, New Jersey, Utah and Namibia, according to Screen Rant. While not all the places are recognizable on the show, there are some of them that can be located.



For example, The Red Rocket truck, one of the iconic locations of the Fallout video game, was filmed in a real gas station in Nyack, New York. Meanwhile, the scenes on the Brotherhood Of Steel Base were filmed in the Wendover Air Force Base, Utah. The real place was used as a training camp for bombers during World War II.

Outside of the US, filming took place in Namibia. According to the same report, the crew shot in Kolmanskop, Sperrgebiet, which is a famous ghost town in the Southern African country. The location serves as Fallout’s wasteland.



According to Screen Rant, while a second season hasn’t been confirmed officially by Amazon, there are reports that California Film Commission has granted tax credits for the show to be filmed there for Season 2.

And the first reactions suggest that the title will be leaning more towards comedy than originally expected.

He’s my hero,” the actor said about the Oscar-winning director. “I read the script and I thought it was one of the most funny, bizarre scripts I’ve read in my life,” he added.

<h2>‘Mickey17,’ a sci-fi epic with comedic flair</h2>



The film is based on Edward Ashton’s book “Mickey7.” The novel revolves around an “expendable” employee assigned to a mission to colonize a new world. Despite being considered disposable, he rebels against the idea of being replaced by his clone.



Bong Joon-ho revealed at the CinemaCon 2024 that he renamed the movie “Mickey17” because he kills Pattinson’s character 10 more times than in the novel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first trailer opens with Robert Pattinson’s character losing a hand and then dying and being “reprinted” several times. The footage shows Mark Ruffalo’s character declaring that those multiple versions must be “exterminated.”

The series, set in Korea, is set in a world where humans have become infected by unknown parasites which have taken over their brains, controlling humans. However, one person, Su-in, has been able to cohabit with a parasite, being the only one who hasn’t transformed.

<h2>Who is in the cast of ‘Parasyte: The Grey’?</h2>



Jeon So-nee (Our Blooming Youth) plays Jeong Su-in/Heidi, while Lee Jung-hyun (Decision to Leave) portrays Choi Jun-kyung, leader of the Team Grey task force. Speaking to Netflix Tudum, So-nee said that her character didn’t care about “living,” but after her experience with the parasite “she thinks about how it’s good to have people around her, and how good it is to live and survive.”

The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">drama</a> is the third installment of the director’s superhero trilogy, which began with “Unbreakable” in 2000 and continued with “Split” in 2016. It had its great moment of fame in 2019 and became one of the best of the year.



The plot revolves around three main characters, who are confined in a psychiatric hospital under the care of Dr. Ellie Staple, a psychiatrist specialized in treating people who believe they are superheroes.

Sarah Paulson is the one who brings the doctor to life, and she is not the only female star who returns for the conclusion of the trilogy, but also joining the cast is <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/anya-taylor-joy">Anya Taylor-Joy</a>, who portrayed Casey Cooke in Split.

After several years of absence, The Matrix not only returned during 2022, but it was confirmed that the fifth installment of the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/alien-how-to-watch-all-the-movies-in-chronological-order-and-streaming">iconic franchise</a> is in development with several significant changes that could change everything.



The Wachowski sisters, who were responsible for directing the previous <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a>, will no longer be in charge of the project. This time, it will be Drew Goddard who takes on the role, while also being responsible for writing the script.



Warner Bros. Discovery is the production company in charge of the science fiction drama, which starred Keanu Reeves and other big stars of the industry, such as Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss.



<h2>Will Keanu Reeves return for The Matrix 5?</h2>



Well, it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether Keanu Reeves will be present in the fifth Matrix film as Neo. However, it is estimated that the actor will return to portray his iconic character, as it wouldn’t be the same without him.

<h2>The Matrix 5 was Drew Goddard’s idea</h2>



The project arose from a personal initiative of director Goddard, who contacted Warner and took charge of presenting the project. The company was fascinated with the proposal, and it was Jesse Ehrman, president of production, who spoke about it:



“Drew came to Warner Bros with a new idea that we all believe would be an incredible way to continue the world of The Matrix, honoring what Lana and Lilly started over 25 years ago and offering a unique perspective based on his own love for the series and the characters“.

When the filmmaker and screenwriter was asked about how the original idea for the next installment of the franchise came about, he pointed out: “It’s not hyperbole to say that the Matrix movies changed cinema and my life. Lana and Lilly’s exquisite art inspire me daily, and I am more than grateful for the opportunity to tell stories in their worl”. 



<h2>Lana Wachowski will participate as a producer</h2>



Lana Wachowski, one of the sisters who make up the well-known director duo, confirmed that she will be in The Matrix 5 as a producer. In the case of her sister Lily, it is still a mystery if she will be part of it.



It is likely that she won’t be present in the project, as in the last installment titled The Matrix Resurrections, she didn’t want to return because “going back was very unappealing”. Lana was the one who directed her in 2021.
