The Euphoria actor will bring Dorrigo Evans, one of the main characters, to life in the five episodes that make up the first season of the miniseries, which will be added to the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video">Prime Video</a> catalog in 2024.



The story is set in 1943 and spans across the Pacific during World War II, tracing the cruelty of war, the fragility of life, and the impossibility of love, seen through the eyes of an Australian doctor and prisoner of war.

“The Narrow Road to the Deep North” will arrive on Prime Video during 2024, and although the exact date has not been confirmed yet, it was reported that its big streaming debut will happen soon, so we could expect it in the coming months.

Jacob Elordi is not the only star who will be part of Amazon’s miniseries, based on a popular novel, but Odessa Young is one of the actresses who will accompany him. Both will star in a compelling love story that spans several decades.



In addition to the young stars, the cast includes Simon Baker, Ciarán Hinds, Essie Davis, Annie Shapero and Joel Aaron Baker. Meanwhile, Masa Yamaguchi will portray Lieutenant Fukuhara and Taki Abe will portray Colonel Kota.



<h2>What is The Narrow Road to the Deep North about?</h2>



The story is set during World War II and primarily follows the experiences of an Australian surgeon named Dorrigo Evans. He becomes a prisoner of war (POW) after the fall of Singapore to the Japanese in 1942.



There, he is forced to work on the construction of the Burma Railway, also known as the “Death Railway”, which was famous for its harsh conditions and high mortality rate among the prisoners of war.

When is Jacob Elordi's The Narrow Road to the Deep North released on Prime Video?

There’s no shortage of young talent in Hollywood. <h2>What is ‘The Sweet East’ about?</h2>



The movie follows Lillian (Ryder), as she’s on a trip to Washington D.C. with the rest of her high school class, when an armed man enters a local restaurant with the intention of stopping the supposed abuse happening in the basement. The scene is a direct reference to the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory.



Lillian will be “rescued” by left-wing political activist Caleb (Cave), who brings her to a home where he lives with other dissidents. From then on, Lillian decides to not return home and she goes on a journey to the Eastern part of the US.

The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics, and boasts a 75 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It has been compared to “Alice in Wonderland,” as the protagonist travels down a rabbit hole of absurdity with every new encounter she has.

However, the point of the film is to examine modern America, and its complexities. Critics have praised Williams’ narrative and visual style. However, not everyone is impressed with the result. Chase Hutchinson wrote for Collider that “the longer you look at what can be potent visuals, the more you realize how empty the film itself is,” adding that it doesn’t leave any “real” impression.
