<p><strong>Masters of the Air</strong> is the new series from <strong>AppleTV+</strong>, featuring a cast filled with major male Hollywood stars, led by <strong>Austin Butler</strong>. The <em>Elvis</em> actor is coming off a successful few years, and soon we’ll see him bring Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen to life in the second part of <em>Dune</em>.</p>



<p>Now, the 32-year-old star is ready to take another step in his career and star in the series created by <strong>John Orloff</strong>, based on the 2007 book “<em>Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany</em>” by <strong>Donald L. Miller</strong>. There, he will portray Maj. Gale ‘Buck’ Cleven, the main character.</p>



<p>The war and drama miniseries is one of the most anticipated titles on the streaming platform, and just a few hours ago, a brief teaser and its release date were unveiled, which is only a month away. The nine-episode show will premiere in 2024 and aims to be one of the best of the month.</p>



<h2>When will Masters of the Air be released?</h2>



<p><strong>AppleTV+</strong> has already set a release date for its new original launch, <em>Masters of the Air</em>. The highly anticipated miniseries <strong>will join the catalog on January 26, 2024</strong>. There will be a total of nine episodes, released weekly, with the finale scheduled for Friday, March 15.</p>

<p><strong>John Orloff</strong>‘s new creation, the renowned writer of <em>Band of Brothers</em>, is based on a true war story and follows eleven men inside a bomber known as the “Flying Fortress” as they battle swarms of German fighters while flying five miles above the ground and behind enemy lines.</p>



<p>Of course, to carry out a narrative with such production and intensity, a top-quality cast is required. <strong>Austin Butler</strong> is the protagonist of the plot, but he is accompanied by mega-stars such as <strong>Callum Turner</strong> in the role of Maj. John ‘Bucky’ Egan and <strong>Barry Keoghan</strong> as Lt. Curtis Biddick.</p>

<p>Although they did not release new material during this comeback, the tour was a significant success and generated great excitement among fans eagerly anticipating seeing the band together again. In 2023, Brown announced that they still have things to announce and do, indicating that a reunion is on the horizon. “We are going to be doing some stuff, all five of us, pretty soon”, she announced on Sky News.</p>

<h2>Who was in charge of the score and how is it composed?</h2>



<p>Many times, a film’s soundtrack is not the only thing that contributes to making the story top-notch and highly acclaimed; the score plays a significant role as well. This time, the score was composed by <strong>Anthony Willis</strong>, who also worked on the music for <em>Promising Young Woman</em>, Fennell’s directorial debut.</p>



<p>The composer spoke with Radiotimes about the responsibility of taking on the project and confessed, <em>“I don’t want to give too much away, but the score is [for] the audience to explore what we want to know about Oliver. He goes to Oxford, thinks his life is going to be perfect, and then he falls madly in love with Felix. It’s really about managing what you feel for him at any given moment”</em>.</p>
