<p><strong>“Mean Girls,” </strong>the 2024 version, arrived on <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/paramount-plus">Paramount+</a></strong> last week and it’s already the <strong>third most-watched <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a></strong> on the platform in the US, according to <strong>FlixPatrol. </strong>The film is an adaptation of the Broadway musical based on the original 2004 comedy, which starred<strong> <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/lindsay-lohan">Lindsay Lohan</a></strong> and <strong>Rachel McAdams.</strong></p>



<p>While <strong>Tina Fey,</strong> who wrote the original, also penned the script, the film’s cast is filled with the <strong>new generation of stars.</strong> Most notably <strong>Reneé Rap</strong>p, who received rave reviews for her performance as Regina George, as well as an spectacular <strong>Angourie Rice</strong>, who plays Cady Heron.</p>

<p>The cast also includes<strong> Christopher Briney</strong>, known for his role in <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video">Prime Video</a>‘s “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” </strong>Bebe Wood, Avantika, Jaquel Spivey, and Auli’i Cravalho. And despite having big shoes to fill, “Mean Girls” was a success in the box office and received <strong>positive reviews.</strong></p>



<h2>The new ‘Mean Girls’ is a classic for a new generation</h2>



<p>While the marketing for the movie didn’t have to go so hard on <strong>millennials</strong> (“this is not your mom’s Mean Girls”), this new version takes everything that made the original appealing, but includes some new elements, such as <strong>social media.</strong> And, it also has great songs.</p>

<p>The high school comedy surpassed <strong>$100 million at the global box office </strong>after six weeks of release, against a budget of $36 million. It also held the top spot at the domestic box office for three consecutive weeks. </p>



<p>The critical response was mostly favorable, with most of the praise going to the young cast. <strong>George, Rice and Cravalho were deemed as the standouts</strong>. However, many critics also praised the film for remaining fun and current.</p>

<p>Just as the original, it follows Cady Heron, who after moving from Africa to the suburbs of Illinois, struggles with high school hierarchies. However, she infiltrates the Plastics, the most popular girls in school, commanded by queen bee Regina George. <strong>Samantha Jayne</strong> and <strong>Arturo Perez Jr.</strong> directed the film, in their directorial debuts.</p>

Variety confirmed just a few hours ago that the first season will bring back some of the stars from the original movies, such as <strong>Ben Schwartz</strong> as Sonic.</p>

<h2>Knuckles comes to Paramount+ in April</h2>



<p>The <strong>Knuckles series will hit the screen on April 26 </strong>of this year, so there are only a few months left until it’s available on the <strong>Paramount+</strong> catalog. All six episodes will be released together and can be exclusively streamed.</p>

<p>The first season, created by <strong>John Whittington</strong> and <strong>Toby Ascher</strong> for the service, will bring back some of the most talented actors from the original movie. Therefore, <strong>Idris Elba </strong>will reprise his voice role as Knuckles the Echidna, and <strong>Adam</strong> <strong>Pally </strong>will resume his role as Wade.</p>



<p>The story itself is based on the video game series published by Sega, but the spin-off is strictly connected to the 2022 movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Therefore, it is part of the live-action franchise that originated in 2020.</p>

<p><strong>Knuckles the Echidna</strong>, a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, was introduced by <strong>Sega</strong> and first appeared in the game Sonic the Hedgehog 3, released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive console. <p>After almost nine months since its theatrical release, <strong>Tom Cruise</strong>’s <strong>‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ </strong>is coming to streaming. The seventh installment of the franchise will be available to watch online on <strong>Paramount+ on January 25th.</strong></p>



<p>The movie was released in July, in the middle of the ‘Barbenheimer’ craze, and, despite being the 10th grossing movie of the year, it fell short at the box office. <p>‘Dead Reckoning’ was directed by <strong>Christopher McQuarrie</strong> and it features some of Cruise’s most breathtaking stunts, such as the highly publicized motorcycle dive and parachute jump off a Norwegian clifftop.</p>

<p>Jonathan Bailey won the <strong>Critics Choice Awards</strong> as Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his role in the drama <strong>“Fellow Travelers,” </strong>which you can stream on <strong>Paramount+</strong>, Showtime and Fubo. The series, which also stars Matt Bommer, has eight episodes, and it is based on the 2007 novel by <strong>Thomas Mallon.</strong></p>

<p>Washington Irving’s 1820 short story <strong>The Legend of Sleepy Hollow</strong> has been the inspiration for several movies and TV shows.
