<p>As for the others, it’s reported that 44 of the 70 young people who slept on the streets on that tragic day in 1993 <strong>later lost their lives in similarly violent circumstances.</strong> For example, Sandro Barbosa do Nascimento was murdered by police after orchestrating a bus hijacking, and Elizabeth Cristina de Oliveira Maia was killed in 2000 by drug dealers, according to Rio de Janeiro police.</p>

<p>Based on the true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-Black, all-female unit during World War II, <strong>“The Six Triple Eight marks” Perry’s shift from his usual modern </strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">dramas</a><strong> to a period war film.</strong> It is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on December 6, followed by its streaming debut on Netflix on <strong>December 20</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Kerry Washington</strong> plays the leading role of Major Charity Adams, with a star-studded cast that includes <strong>Sam Waterston, Susan Sarandon, Oprah Winfrey, Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson</strong>, and others.</p>



<ul><li><strong>Joe’s College Road Trip</strong></li></ul>



<p>Tyler Perry is bringing the “Madea” franchise back into action! However, <strong>“Joe’s College Road Trip,”</strong> as its name indicates, won’t focus on the tough, street-smart elderly woman who captured America’s hearts in 2005. Instead, <strong>it will center on her brother, Joe, as he accompanies his grandson, B.J., on a college road trip.</strong> An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but it is known that the film will arrive in 2025.</p>

<p>As for the cast, it has been confirmed that Tyler Perry will portray Madea, Joe Simmons, and Brian Simmons, while <strong>Jermaine Harris</strong> will play B.J. Simmons. Other members of the ensemble include <strong>Shekeb Sekander, Amber Reign Smith, Bethany Anne Lind, Jeremy Gimenez</strong>, and <strong>Millie Jackson.</strong></p>



<ul><li><strong>Madea’s Destination Wedding</strong></li></ul>



<p>And here’s the big surprise from Netflix heading into 2025: not only one, but two new installments in the famous <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> franchise that catapulted Perry to stardom!<strong> “Madea’s Destination Wedding”</strong> will be the thirteenth film in the series. In this installment, Madea and her family attend Tiffany’s rushed destination wedding in the Bahamas. Once there, tensions arise <strong>as Tiffany begins to doubt her fiancé, and her mother starts acting strangely.</strong></p>

<p>As usual, Perry will reprise his roles as Madea, Joe Simmons, and Brian Simmons, joined by <strong>Cassi Davis, Tamela Mann, David Mann, Diamond White, Taja V. Simpson</strong>, and <strong>Jermaine Harris.</strong></p>



<ul><li><strong>Straw</strong></li></ul>



<p>Another upcoming project that strays from the humor and laughter is <strong>“Straw,”</strong> one of Perry’s most anticipated titles. The film will feature the incredibly talented <strong>Taraji P. Henson in the role of a struggling mother facing circumstances beyond her control</strong>. More details about the plot remain limited at the moment. While a release date has not been set, some sources suggest that it will arrive on Netflix in <strong>early 2026.</strong></p>
