Sam Corlett is not an unfamiliar face to Netflix users; quite the opposite. After his significant success with the three seasons of Vikings: Valhalla, the Australian actor is back in the catalog with the series “Territory“.

The drama depicts how rival factions in Australia see an opportunity to seize control of the vast Lawson cattle operation, which lacks an heir. The land grab threatens to destroy the declining dynasty.

In addition to the 28-year-old star portraying Marshall Lawson, the creation of Ben Davies and Timothy Lee boasts a talented cast, with standout performances from Anna Torv, Jay Ryan, Robert Taylor and Michael Dorman.

Could Territory get a second season on Netflix?

Although “Territory” has been well received and is compared to “Yellowstone” in terms of theme and style, there is currently no official information regarding a possible renewal for a second season from Netflix.

The series, set on a large Australian ranch and addressing themes of family conflict and power struggles, has generated expectations due to its focus on an uncommon setting and its remarkable cast, according to RadioTimes.

As is often the case with new productions, the platform typically waits a few weeks after the release to assess the TV show’s performance before making decisions about its continuation in the catalog.

For now, fans of the new neo-western series will have to wait for updates on the future of the show and any official announcements from Netflix. However, it has all the potential to become the next hit for the service.
