Netflix's 'His Three Daughters' cast reveals their dream roles

While family-themed dramas can be a tough watch, we’re always ready to experience the most heart-wrenching ones. Netflix understands this well, and after receiving excellent reviews in select theaters, “His Three Daughters” is now available on the platform, where it quickly soared to the top of the charts, according to FlixPatrol.

And how could it not? With a stellar cast featuring Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Elizabeth Olsen, the story is both deeply human and compelling. As their father Vincent nears the end of his battle with cancer and enters hospice care at home, his daughters Katie, Rachel, and Christina come together in his New York City apartment.

Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Elizabeth Olsen reveal the characters they dream of playing

The interviewer praised the “His Three Daughters” trio, remarking that their performances were the kind other actresses would watch and aspire to. They were then asked which films or roles had such an impact on them.

Elizabeth Olsen, confident in her choice, was the first to speak, saying she’d love to play a role like Gena Rowlands’ in “Opening Night”. Carrie Coon followed, expressing her desire to portray a character like Jill Clayburgh’s in “An Unmarried Woman”.

Natasha Lyonne took a unique approach, saying, “Most of them are men, but I do remember in between viewings of Rocky and Scarface, i did want to be Stallone.She also revealed her childhood obsession with Jessica Lange in “Frances”.

Olsen, chiming back in, recalled her own early acting idols, particularly Bette Davis, whom she credited with “creating acting.” Raised on classic films by her grandfather, Olsen shared her love for Katharine Hepburn and added, “I found my way to Barbara Stanwyck and Bette Davis later.”
