Elizabeth Olsen has been portraying the iconic and powerful Wanda Maximoff for nearly 10 years, and although she has participated in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, she has never had a solo movie.

This has been widely discussed, and fans believe we might be very close to hearing the long-awaited announcement that will indicate the future of Scarlet Witch, as well as the anticipated return of the talented actress.

Jac Schaeffer, showrunner of WandaVision and Agatha All Along, spoke with Variety and expressed her deep love for the character, saying that she has high hopes that she will finally get her own standalone movie.

Will Wanda Maximoff get her own movie as Scarlet Witch?

Now that Agatha All Along has premiered and Vision Quest is set to debut sometime in 2026, fans have started to wonder when Marvel will announce the Scarlet Witch movie.

It seems that Elizabeth Olsen‘s epic return to the MCU may be closer than we think. The actress has been absent since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but several outlets have reported that she plans to return.

She talked about her combeack and during a recent interview with Dublin radio station FM104, she confessed, “So if there’s a good way to use her I’m always happy to come back, however they can make that make sense“.

One of the theories began when the insider MyTimeToShineHello shared an update about a rumor on their official X profile. They responded to a fan’s question, saying that the movie will arrive between Avengers 5 and 6.

When Jac Schaeffer was asked about this in the chat with Variety, she simply said, “I am just here hoping for a Scarlet Witch movie! We all want Wanda, so fingers crossed that’s a thing that happens“.
