WandaVision not only paved the way for other series to succeed in the MCU, but it also brought new projects into consideration, such as “Vision Quest“, with Paul Bettany as the lead of the story.

Although the title was on pause for a while, the idea has resumed and pre-production has begun. Marvel confirmed the future of the character, what the show will be about, and when it will be set.

The fantasy drama will arrive following Agatha All Along, which starred Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness and tells what happened after Wanda Maximoff “died”. Here, check out everything about the new title…

Who are the cast of Vision Quest?

Of course, Paul Bettany (Legion and Priest) will be back to reprise his role as Vision, as he has done in the original series and in several Avengers movies. He won’t be the only one making an epic comeback.

Marvel will also be bringing back an iconic villain from the MCU… none other than Ultron. This means James Spader (The Blacklist and Secretary) has joined the cast to voice and bring the character to life.

In addition to the two stars, the latest addition to the project so far is Todd Stashwick, although it’s not yet known what role he will play. As of September 2024, only these three big names have been confirmed.

What is Vision Quest about?

In October 2022, several theories began circulating about the plot of the upcoming MCU series. One of these suggested that it would follow Vision as he tries to regain his memory and humanity after losing Wanda.

Another theory claims that the spin-off could be a quest for self-discovery, reconnecting with the original Vision and undertaking a journey to find Wanda, to see where she is and bring her back.

There was a time when it was believed that Vision Quest could become a “Young Avengers” project, but this has never really been confirmed either. Well, the truth is that it will follow the initial speculation and will not focus on Maximoff.

When will Vision Quest be released?

Marvel Studios confirmed that the series will be available on Disney+ sometime in 2026, as it is currently in pre-production. It is said that Jac Schaeffer, the writer of WandaVision, is involved again.
