All good action dramas eventually climb to the top 10 on Netflix in the United States, and the same has happened with Jamie Dornan‘s series that combines all these elements: The Tourist, which is now the most-watched on the platform.

According to Flix Patrol, the creation of Harry Williams and Jack Williams, which was nominated for a BAFTA award, has moved from the second spot to dominate the ranking as the most chosen by the American audience.

The story follows Eliott, a man who wakes up in the Australian Outback with no memory and must use the few clues he has to uncover his identity before his past catches up, chaos ensues, and it’s all too late.

The Tourist continues to accumulate new viewers, and this morning it was confirmed that it is currently the most-watched series on Netflix in the United States, while globally it holds the 9th position in the ranking.

According to Flix Patrol, the show has managed to surpass other major productions on the platform, including Griselda with Sofia Vergara, which tells the real-life story of Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels.

Originally released in 2022, the first season is an original production of BBC One in the United Kingdom, where it achieved significant viewership numbers during its launch. However, in America, it premiered on Max and is now part of Netflix.

The second season will arrive on the catalog on February 29th, so the countdown has already begun, and it’s the ideal time to marathon the six episodes that make up the first installment and soon the second.

The suspense thriller stars Jamie Dornan in the role of Eliott, a man who becomes a victim of a car accident and wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. The story has everything needed to shine among viewers.

Drama, action, mystery and even a bit of comedy, so it was expected to be a sensation. The main character has a complex personality, and there are several moments when the narrative becomes dark and unsettling.

Despite the initial plan for the series to have only one season, its success led the production to bet on six new episodes. During an interview with the BBC, the Fifty Shades of Grey actor spoke about this and confessed:

“I don’t think we expected it to be the most-watched show in the UK that year, and when there’s so much appetite, it seemed right to give people more”. So now we can expect even more action, as Eliott plunged headlong into chaos.
