Netflix: Teenage drama 'Geek Girl' occupies the Top 4 series worldwide in two days

After “House of the Dragon“, Emily Carey has been involved in multiple other projects, but this time, one of them has become a major success among Netflix users worldwide, with just two days since its release.

Geek Girl” is the new original limited series from the streaming giant, based on the popular young adult book series written by Holly Smale. In it, the actress plays the lead character, Harriet Manners, a socially awkward teenager.

The first season consists of 10 episodes, directed by Declan O’Dwyer (Killing Eve and Merlin), and produced by Zoë Rocha for RubyRock Pictures and Anthony Leo and Andrew Rosen for Aircraft Pictures.

Geek Girl” is the latest Netflix release that has not only captivated young adults with subscriptions but has also charmed a broad audience worldwide, solidifying itself as the new Top 2 TV show globally.

Flix Patrol reported this morning that the series co-created by Jessica Ruston and Holly Smale has become the second most chosen on the platform in multiple countries so far, with just two days in the catalog.

The story follows Harriet Manners, a socially awkward teenager who is discovered by a modeling agent in London, leading her on a journey of self-discovery as she balances school and her modeling career.

Although the episodes are led by Emily Carey, the cast includes many well-known names in the industry, such as Tim Downie, Hersha Verity, Alana Boden, Madeleine Price and Alexandra Chaves, among other talents.
