Sometimes, all we need is a Kevin Hart film, regardless of what the critics say. This is being proven by the high viewership “Night School” is receiving on Netflix, making it one of the most-watched movies in the United States, despite its 2018 release.

Whether you love his productions or can’t stand even a second of his stand-up specials, it’s undeniable that Hart has a Midas touch, turning everything he’s involved in into a hit across all streaming platforms.

“Night School” is the first commercial project he co-wrote, and it reflects his unique brand of humor in every moment. While it may not be his most acclaimed work, it certainly showcases his true comedic craft.

Kevin Hart’s ‘Night School’ is the No. 4 movie in the US

Kevin Hart is undeniably the face of contemporary humor, and nearly every film he releases becomes an instant success. Surprisingly, “Night School,” a 2018 movie that initially flew under the radar compared to his other hits, is now the fourth most-watched movie in the United States, according to Flix Patrol.

With minimal promotion, the picture has managed to outshine consistent chart-toppers like “Jack Reacher” and “Saving Bikini Bottom,” and it’s currently in a close race with “Inside the Mind of a Dog” to climb even higher in the rankings.

“Night School” follows the story of Teddy, a man who goes from having a good job and a wealthy girlfriend to losing everything. In his quest to start over, he applies for a job at his best friend’s financial investment firm, only to learn that he needs a GED—a qualification he lacks because he dropped out of high school when he was younger.

To earn his GED, Teddy returns to his old school, where he’s taught by an unconventional teacher, Carrie, played by Tiffany Haddish. The cast also includes Rob Riggle, Romany Malco, Taran Killam, Megalyn Echikunwoke, and others.

Despite being destroyed by critics, audiences have found “Night School” to be the perfect choice for a laid-back Sunday watch with family. While it may not be the next comedy of the century, it’s likely to entertain you for a couple of hours, so you do not have to be endlessly scrolling through titles.
